They've drafted 1 WR with a high asset that was purely the pick. That's Rashee Rice and he was a ****ing great pick for where we got him.

Mecole was a panic pick that was only picked bc we thought Tyreek was ****ed.

And yeah I think most of this group could come back. MVS is not coming back though due to price per productivity. We can all agree there.

This is just me but I'd say Rice, Watson, Hardman and Toney should be brought back (Toney and Hardman are very good-and cheap-depth as WR4 and WR5. I'd love to bring in a guy like DJ Chark (good price) then draft a 1st rd WR from this class and then another burner late (think Trey Palmer this year).

My problem is Skyy Moore. I fear they'll stick with him like they have CEH. He needs to show something the rest of this year. If he doesn't then he won't be good. 2 years is long enough to evaluate him.

If all we get from Toney was the punt return, that was a shitty investment

They can't do it game to game either - something that hopefully changes starting Monday.

They need a WR that can win on the outside. I don't know if that guy is in this group or not. Rice should theoretically be able to do it, he did in college, but we haven't seen it here yet.

They run guys in and out every god damn play.

That in and of itself should tell us what they think of this WR group, I'm kind of expecting it to be exploded and rebuilt again next year to be honest.

Everyone knows my rep, I'd pivot off paying Jones or Sneed and go get me a big time WR somewhere.

Trade, pay, whatever.

You are spoiled.

I'll trade a 3rd/6th every time its possible if that player makes a game changing momentum play in the SB and we win another SB.

They need to pick three guys and they get the snaps. Period.

The other 3-4 are there solely to give those top 3 guys a breather.

I truly believe if they went this route and built some continuity, things would be fine.

I kinda think they've gone this route though recently right?

Rice, MVS, and Watson have been the majority of the snaps. I don't have a clue what's going with Toney, in my opinion he should be up there as well.

Good Grief. We seriously trying to argue that punt return wasn't a massive part of why we won now? It put the Chiefs firmly in control of the game AND ensured we'd get at least a chance to respond even if the Eagles scored instead of them having a chance to tie the game without us having a real chance to answer and putting us at the mercy of a coin flip in OT.

It won't be, outside of maybe MVS. Guys on rookie contracts will be back, as they should be.

MVS is gone next year, so that saves a decent chunk. I'd guess they extend Justin Reid, he's really good and is only 26. Get that number down.

Then you've gotta do something with the DL. Madubuike would be a banger.

Then you go find some weapons, sign Donovan Smith to a nice 3 year deal and be done.

I mean, kind of - they've really been all over the map.

We don't have a single WR that has taken more than 70% of snaps in a single game. EDIT: It happened once, MVS in W2.

Last week Rice/MVS/Watson stood out, getting between 55-68% with the next closest at 25% (Moore)

But the week before, it was Rice/MVS/Moore, getting between 54-61%, with the next closest at 36% (Mecole)

There's no rhyme or reason to it - every week someone different other than MVS - he's the only guy that has received a 50% or better snap share in every game.

100% on board with this. Championships are forever. Bust rates of draft picks, albeit not what the prospect bust rate is in baseball, is a 50/50 proposition.

And we get Toney for another few years so whatever extra production may come is just an added bonus.

Anybody regret getting Cueto and Zobrist back in 2015? Pretty sure we traded a bunch of lefty farm arms that felt somewhat painful at the time but didn't amount to shit in the long run. Same thinking here...the cliche "Flags Fly Forever" is absolutely true.
