Okay, and what would be Mahomes stats to WRs be (take out Kecle's 70+ targets)?

Well, I mean...are we going to take out Kelce's targets every year, then?

How can you say it's been nearly the same when we've been pumping blue chip draft picks and trade ups for defense for 5 years. And even still every year prior to this people have complained about our defense. It's really hard to build a defense and much as I love spags he is way less reliable building a consistently dominant defense as Reid. CJ is a playmaker but he's nowhere near the difference maker as mahomes. We probably need a lot of talent and depth to consistently cook on defense. This year we have both. Is that sustainable? Not nearly as much as offense

I think most people agree that with mahomes we don't need Justin Jefferson or Trent Williams. We need competent talent and if we out a fraction of the attention on offense as we've done for defense we would have elite talent on offense too. Before anyone twists my words that isn't to say we shouldn't build a great defense. But we set a low bar for how much talent mahomes and Reid need to cook, and we haven't hit that this year as of yet. We aren't excelling on offense because we haven't tried very hard to hit a low bar, not because it is extraordinarily hard.

The last two years all 3 top premium picks went to Defense.

The only 1st round pick used on offense since Mahomes was CEH, who provides zero value to the offense.

This year's FA was all about signing more defensive depth and a pass-rusher when they had zero Vet WR's that were difference makers on the roster.

So yeah, hard to keep going if you have zero 1st round picks on offense doing anything in the last 6 years and FA all you do is let guys go or trade them away that were key players at WR.

Last I saw 3 weeks ago, EPA to KC WR's was 26th in the NFL.

Bottom of the barrel with Mahomes throwing the ball.

That is pathetic.

Their biggest FA addition was a RT, but again, you leave everything out that doesn't fit your narrative.

And we're now sitting here with a young elite defense. It's not like they invested in the defense for nothing.

How can you suck the Ravens dick like you do while simultaneously pretending that an elite defense isn't really worth all that much?

Yeah, almost like you can’t win a SB with a similar formula!

Keep going on and on…

Last year's formula didn't include lots of punting and a mediocre offense.

But you already admitted that you thought this team could win a SB, no? Weren’t those your words?

But if he does walk for nothing then they really screwed the pooch on handing this situation.
They most likely would at least get a 3rd round comp pick.

Your words were how there was no need to replace our #1 WR from last year because he wasn't that good and easily replaced.

You were wrong.

Take your L and move on dude.

How about this:

If you find a post where I said that, I’ll give you $100.

If you can’t find a post where I said that, you donate $10 to CP.

You reply to posts in this thread in 1-2 minutes so I’ll give you 3 minutes to accept this bet or not. Then you can spend however much time you’d like finding a post where I said that and CP can vote on whether it satisfies the criteria for the bet.

Not worth my time. I've seen the results of your searches of my posts and you just post random shit without context and I'm not interested in your bullshit or lies.

Whether it's trust, coaching, scheme, the offense is definitely more anemic this year. Talent may be an issue, but then you see CJ Stroud making JAGS look all pro and you realize it's something besides just talent. The good news, again, is that Pat and the O will figure it out and when they do, watch out.

Folks, definition of a weak and pathetic tap out.

Claim someone said something, provide no proof, don’t accept odds skewed dramatically in your favor to incentive you to provide proof of an accusation you made, and then claim that you’re taking the high road.

Wonderful for discourse on a message board. You add tremendous value in this thread and in life.
