Doesn't mean it won't ever change, but every damn year we hear about these regular season paper champs that we're supposed to be afraid of because of point differential and reasons.

If the Ravens are for real this year and beat the Chiefs in the playoffs, you can pound your chest all you want, but it's just a sunshine/dogs ass situation considering.....
Browns running game is going to cause problems.
Titans run game and defense is going to cause problems
2020 Bills are ****ing amazing
The Jags and Trevor are world beaters
...etc, etc.

Yes, I wish Mahomes had the weapons he used to have when he dominated everyone.

Let's get back to that.

No joke, the only team I have less respect than the Ravens for that could realistically make the playoffs is the Steelers.

We agree there.

Their offense is dog shit and their defense overrated.

"Every other team," eh? He went for a 3rd and a 5th, but "every other team" in the league was throwing multiple picks at ATL. I don't remember teams lining up throwing bids out there for the guy, but I guess I have to take your word for it.

The only team I'd really rather not bother with is the Texans. Stroud is a menace and it's ****ing annoying playing teams with nothing to lose that come in with their hair on fire playing way over their talent level.

I'd guess he's saying that because we were picking last in the draft or 30th that year.

"Lamar Jackson has a passer rating of 68.3 with 900 yards, 3 touchdowns and 5 interceptions in 4 games in the playoffs in his career."

Because our picks are worth less than any other team’s picks…. Do you dispute that?

The tricky thing about them is they are running stuff no one else is doing.

There are pieces of this, some of that. Slowik created his own thing and it's not a Shanahan or McVay offense.

Duh, not going anywhere in the post season without him.

And the health of an aging Kelce. Because unless Rice and/or Toney truly steps it up, KC, despite the fantastic defense, doesn't look to be a team likely to make it through the post season without Kelce.

But there's still time for Mahomes and Rice to develop more chemistry and maybe they really are trying to save Toney for when it really counts.

Let's get back to that.
I know...
2018-2021, the defense sucks balls and can't win games without defense in the playoffs
2019-2021, the offensive line sucks balls and can't win playoff games like that
2020-2021, the running game sucks, gotta be able to run in the playoffs
2022, rebuild/retool/reload year because you can't win in the playoffs without a WR1, and the defense is super young
....etc, etc.

Obviously some of those issues cropped up at bad times and it doesn't mean current issues aren't issues at all... but, given their floor has been hosting the AFCCG and they've won a couple SBs and went to another, most of those things have obviously been overblown to the same extent as being afraid of Lamar Jackson and we really have no ****ing clue what they can overcome or what will happen.

I personally would always tilt my build towards offense. But this balanced roster thing is very good too. My issue was always they needed one more WR to make the offense work.

I'm praying that Toney is the answer and they use him on all the focal/isolation plays they were trying to feature Skyy as if he was a real weapon.
