Dropped pass from 8-1 heading into the bye with an offense that is not hitting on all cylinders.

Not hitting on all cylinders is a bit of an understatement, yeah? 2 touchdowns offensively in the last 2 contests.

That's more like, neighbors pushing the car in neutral while you desperately try to get the engine to turn over by popping the clutch.

That's where we are.

And the neighbors are getting tired of pushing this piece of shit.

They are? You would think this offense was #32 with no hope of overcoming it. If it's this bad heading into the playoffs then we can start to worry. I have full confidence this HC/QB will fix it.

Who are the neighbors in this analogy?

Obviously they're not 32.

Going from an offense capable of dropping 40 on your head at any given time, to a team that didn't reach the endzone for an entire contest against a dumpster fire football team, and only putting together 2 scoring drives in the next, it's not a stretch to say that this engine that used to hit 200 mph is now struggling to fire at all.

Every drive is a struggle, Mahomes is begging for flags constantly, and we have to contract the Barnum and Bailey Circus to try to convert 3rd and 1, just to fail.

The bye is coming at the perfect time, because there's a lot of shit wrong under the hood of this offense.

The team is built differently now.

We’ve pumped all our resources into defense and OL. With an elite QB, you CAN win that way in this league. It’s how Brady won most of his championships.

Just because the offense isn’t what we’re used to doesn’t mean the TEAM isn’t great

I wouldn’t say the offense is struggling to fire at all. They are definitely not what we are used to seeing and they could always improve. What we do have for the first time in the Mahomes era is a championship caliber defense. That give this offense time to figure it out.

The great part about all of this Mahomes no longer has to be the hero for us to win. I still expect the offense to be better by the end of the season than they are now. I also expect that fans need to temper expectations some as I don’t see an offense that will weekly put up 40 points, at least not this year.
