They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

Right now what we need most is a bandaid. A guy who can fill jujus role and give rashee the time to progress at the right pace. He’s cheap, knows the offense, and even if he can’t stay healthy it buys us time to figure other shit out with the rest of the WR room. Especially with rashee. If juju can do it with his limited abilities, Watkins can do it at his age for a half season

Then in the offseason get aggressive (probably through the draft).
Sammy was unreliable at 26. He’s 30 now.

Toney is already filling the oft-injured, inconsistent weapon role on this team. We don’t have space for two.

Plus, his last three QBs have been Mahomes, Jackson and Rodgers. If he wasn’t able to get something going with those guys, he’s likely cooked.

I’d sign him if it meant we cut Moore. Otherwise I don’t think it’s a good idea.

Toney had 12 snaps yesterday. I am not sure what the plan is with him or what is going on but they said all off season he could be the #1 WR.

He's played in 2 games with his knee injury. I'm not sure what you could possibly take away from that.

No clue what he is doing either, hes not going down field.

We are running concepts still that obviously our guys are struggling with.

Watkins was terrific in this offense when healthy. Even in games where we didn’t have tyreek. Juju wouldn’t have fit into Baltimore or even Green Bay’s offense either. At bare minimum I think we just need a veteran who can reliably run good routes and catch the ball. Mahomes needs to get into rhythm and right now the best solutions midseason probably cost too much or will have a steep learning curve.

When your "best" receiver is a rookie out of SMU who gets skillet hands at least once a game, it is time to admit you have a big issue.

Admit it, Reid, Veach, Nagy, et al, and make some changes. Park MEHoore on the bench. Promote Watson and Rice. MVS and Toney from the slot. Hardman = one more fumble and you gone (bring back that kid we had before him)

Moore's the same ball of suck he was last season and James hasn't been healthy enough to supplant him. MVS looks older/slower. Toney's just a non-entity.

And frankly, Mahomes is pressing. He's taking shots on balls he shouldn't (3rd and short plays) and then passing on shots when he should. He's simply not playing to his usual standard of play.
I think and hope you are correct about Rice, but I don’t remember JuJu dropping a lot of balls. And this has been an issue for Rice even in college I thought, so you wonder if fixing it is a reasonable expectation

Starting to get the snaps, now needs to get more targets. He should be getting a minimum of 8 targets a game. We can live with the drops, he at least does something when he doesn't drop the ball. Nearly every other WR has drops and also doesn't do shit the rest of the time. He needs to be a focal point of the offense.

I hope Watson is getting MVS’s snaps when he’s healthy.

Is Toney just not getting healthy and only good for 10-12 snaps?

It’s been nearly 3 calendar years since Sammy last suited up for us. Tha may as well be 10 years in the NFL. Not to mention the fact that he no-showed in the 2020 playoff run.

Like I said, I’d be OK with it if it meant cutting Moore outright. Other than that, I just don’t think it’d be a great move.
