They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

Woof.
I've said this a few times but the problem is it's not a bargain bin group. That would be a bunch of guys like DeMarcus Robinson and Pringle and so forth. Rice and Skyy are 2nd round picks. They traded for Toney who was a hyped 1st round pick because of his explosiveness. Even Hardman was a 2nd round pick taken to make an impact because we were worried about Tyreek.

They've made a serious investment and that's the problem. They have 4 guys out there playing who were taken in the first 2 rounds of the draft and they're not getting much out of them other than Rice and he's made some mistakes too.

Of course, and it comes down to the scouting part in terms of identifying receivers, because outside of Tyreek Hill, the Chiefs haven't really developed a receiver worth a lick in quite some time.

But at the same time, it could also be a coaching issue in regard to developing them as well. I don't know. What I do know is that whatever they are doing right now with this receiver group, isn't working, and that needs to be addressed.

I think we're long past the point of trading picks or drafting (assets) for a pet project/high risk type of players that isn't really panning out.

Not signing Hopkins was inexplicable to me. A great veteran WR available for no picks at all, but nah. We don’t want to take playing time away from Sky Moore.

Denver was 30th vs the pass per the broadcast. And we could not get open.

I don't know why the plan is to turn our generational QB into a game manager and lean on our defense.

Seems antiquated.

I mean I don’t know what to say guys. After getting leveled for having the audacity to say our first half offense hasn’t looked right… I’ll just let everyone else do the talking.

Our WRs played like absolute shit. And despite what anyone will tell you NONE of this is new information. Skyy, Mvs, Toney are today what they were yesterday.

Watson and Rice appear to be the only two salvageable receivers on this roster.

We may need to look for a new receivers coach as well. This unit has not improved much this season. At least they're consistent.

I think the strategy is mostly pay Mahomes, pay Kelce, pay Chris Jones because those are the key people who deserve to be paid at the top of their range, put some money in the OL and DL so another Tampa-like SB loss doesn't happen... and then fill out skill positions on offense & the secondary with draft picks on their rookie contracts. It's worked out great with the DBs and Pacheco but it's hard to hit on everything.

I dont think that was the plan. I think it's just turned into that because the wide receivers are so bad. They are not going to step it up like Reid and Varch were counting on.

Kelce is getting older my man, Veach better figure this shit out. Outside of Rice who I’ll excuse because he is a rookie, the rest of these receivers are trash.
