I am founding member of the “Frank Clark no longer ****ing sucks” fanclub and I want no part of Frank Clark on this team.

Time to turn the page. Frank went out on top and we should keep it that way.

Yeah - it absolutely would be enormous.

But it's an amount they're stuck with either way - and in fact an amount cutting him would reduce over a 2-3 year period (in a fairly large way).

Ultimately they just need to review the matter over a 3-year period. Especially given that next season is a write-off for them. They have no chance to compete next year so why worry about it? Move heaven and earth to make it possible to accelerate that money onto the 2024 cap and in so doing you save $37 million in total cap damage over the next 3 seasons.

They really have to do it, IMO. It's the only thing that might help them get back to the playoffs by 2025. If they try to 'salvage' this experiment they're probably looking at 2027/2028 on the low end.

His past choices teeter in the “questionable” zone at best.

The other thing they could do is flip a team like the Bears some picks to take Ruffles as a salary dump via trade.

I would argue that Clark makes Jones worse. Defenses don't have to worry about Clark so they can just focus on Jones and karlaftis. Frank is done.

Yeah - really vital for team culture...
In 2021 the defense had an eight game spell where they kept seven teams under 15 points. And his impact has been felt in the PLAYOFFS so of you don't think he was vital to the WINNING culture then you're either naive or just a plain old hater.

They'd be extremely stupid not to.

But going by their track history going back to the past 7 season, if there's something extremely stupid that can be done, that's exactly what they're doing to do.

We're already paying him like $6 million. Might as well pay an extra 2 or 3 and have him on the field come the playoffs...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).
