They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

I'd take 5 #2 wideouts over Tyreek Hill and chaff 100 times out of 100.

There's no way to be this dogmatic about it. Sometimes high end is more important. Sometimes depth is.

If your defense is 5 Chris Jones level players and 6 Orlando Scandrick caliber ones, your defense is going to suck ass because OCs are going to find ways to exploit the 6 piles of shit.

To say there's some universal truth is just silly.
Well of course a #2 wideout in today's NFL is really good, this isn't the era of Lake Dawson is a starting WR.

Yeah, give me a bunch of good players , with what we have at HC and QB.

But.....damn Tyreek looks.......unstoppable?

Like, is he gonna end up being the best WR of all time?

Jerry Rice existed, so no.

And Calvin Johnson was Tyreek Hill but a foot taller. Went for 1,900 yards for an organization that couldn't find it's ass with a flashlight and a map.

Randy Moss is a verb.

Top 10? Sure - very possible. Best ever? Nah.

If he throws up a 2000 yard receiving year he can change the way he's thought of...although Jefferson is right there with him on that pace.

The guy's halfway to Terrell Owens.

A 2,000 yard season and he'll be close to halfway to Rice.

No, I don't think he's going to reach those levels.

I doubt he has their longevity but he has a SB win, he'll be remembered likely as the most dangerous weapon from his era and all that so he's likely a lock HOFer at the very least.

So you’re saying we have 5 WR2s? Because I don’t see it. I see possibly 1, and maybe two 3s; then whatever. And there’s still a coin flip’s chance we don’t have any 2s. Right this second, we have three 3s, with one that might be really a 4, and one with injury issues.

If we have 5 WR2s, I’d love to see that. As in, replace any 2 on another playoff team, excluding NYG, and explain how our replacement would be better than the guy he’s replacing. Or, would any of those teams be willing to trade 2s. Either way.

I'm not.

But that's not what you said.

"Quality is always preferable over quantity in every situation..."

No, you want quality without a consideration of quantity. Your position is you want Kelce over Gray - sure, who doesn't? But if I offer you 1 Hill or 3 Devante Smiths, I think you'd be far better served to take the 3 Devante Smith's.

Which is again why I said you're being dogmatic; speaking in absolutes when they're just obviously not warranted or accurate.

At quarterback? Yeah, you want 1 great one vs. 2 good ones. At OT? Give me two good ones over 1 great one and slag. Would I take Orlando Pace and Trazelle Jenkins over our present bookent OTs? No, no I would not. Hell, in MOST situation in sports, quantity can, and often does, supersede quality.

You overplayed your hand. Badly.

Yeah, I don’t think so.

Obviously you’d take devonta smith over Skyy, right? Would you take 2 Skyy’s vs. Smith? I wouldn’t. 3? Still not sure. Would I take a Smith and Boyd over 3 Skyy’s? Or 2 Skyy’s and Ross/James? Yes, every time.

Congrats. You've found an instance that fits your statement.

And acknowledged several that won't.

Which is my point - you overplayed your hand.

No - quality doesn't trump quantity 'every time'. Not in WR corps, Offensive Lines, defenses writ large or sport ****s.

You just made a ridiculous overstatement.

I think we're gonna end up in top 5 territory and once we get there....it's opinion.

He's just so unique.

I really wish, and I know we won a SB blah blah, but I really wish he'd have stayed with Pat all the way thru. I think he could have gotten close to Rice's #s.

I think he’s headed for the Hall. Competition is stiff for WRs but Hill is so electric that I don’t think it’ll matter, even if he tapers off and ends up with 10-11k receiving yards.

Doesn’t hurt that he’s got a Super Bowl win and versatility with 10+ rushing/return TDs.

I LOVE Tyreek, always have, always will. But, once he gets hurt (and he WILL get hurt), you have to have other quality receivers step up and take his snaps effectively. At his salary, that's difficult to do, without recently having a complete total rebuild or some kind of crazy luck in the draft.
