I didn’t ****ing say we don’t have that guy on our roster. Or that we should panic he’s not there in week 2. And I’ve been crystal clear I like the idea of seeing if rice or maybe Ross can become that guy but it will take time. You are putting all kinds of words in my mouth.

But until that guy emerges we don’t have that guy YET. And until that guy emerges it’s a major gap to the pieces coming together. It isn’t just cleaning up drops. And it’s responding to the idea that a primary guy doesn’t matter as if backfilling jujus role in the offense isn’t important. I’ve expressed patience and optimism that we will get there, but don’t tell me this role isn’t important.
I didn't, I never have, I never would, because of course a good, smart WR who knows where to be and when to be there would be a good thing.

And yet, you're going to write five more paragraphs arguing that.

And once again, I will say that we don't know what we have yet in the youngsters, but week 2 was clearly better than week 1.

And then you're going to write another five paragraphs about how you can't believe I don't think it's important to have good receivers.

And I'm going to say I never said that, I said we needed to develop our own, not pay FA market price, and we need to be a little patient.

And you'll write another five paragraphs about how everyone is content to not have good receivers.

Somebody IS being a total asshole, but it's not me.

Right?!?

I'm the guy that writes five largely non-responsive paragraphs to every minor point.

This is bullshit!

But you did when you shit on my idea that we need a primary guy even if that’s just a safety valve for now. So you’re saying you agree? Good.

If your contention is that it’s gonna take time to solve this then what the **** is the dispute when I say we have a gap, good candidates to fill it, but until then it’s empty.

You keep saying be patient, these kids are gonna make mistakes while leaving no room for anyone to have even the minorest criticism beyond drops. Because you keep saying I know these guys aren’t perfect while also relentlessly coming to everyone’s defense. . Part of the learning is also knowing our player limitations early. If we’re learning then embrace that people see shortcomings early on. It doesn’t mean we’re pissing over ourselves or panicking. I mean, Christ, you’ve screamed be patient it’s week 2 about a bajillion times to people who have expressed they know this will take time.

Do you support Veach’s apparent plans to find cheaper (relatively) veteran WRs and continuing to draft and develop WRs with mid-round picks?

Yeah, Skyy is disappointing and we want more Rice. I get it. But do you find that to be the best possible strategy to acquiring great and dependable WRs given that we’ve decided to spend heavy in the trenches?

I shit on paying often injured, over 30 WR's who are demanding top end WR money, yes, you bet, I shit on that all ****ing day. Like $50 worth of taco bell on top of cheap whiskey type shits. On your ****ing windshield. All day.

Veach looked, he kicked tires, he likely even talked money, and we didn't find anything but Ritchie James, who also doesn't look like he understands exactly where he's supposed to be and when either. And honestly, that's going to be the case with anyone they picked up mid-season while you're at it. It's not Madden.

Let me be crystal clear, as apparently you don't understand what I mean when I say THEY NEED REPS; this is in fact, a criticism far beyond the 'drops' of week one. They aren't seeing things like Mahomes does yet; they're not always where they're supposed to be when they're supposed to be there. They're learning. They need to play through it. They need to see it in real time, in the game. And already, week two was better than week one.

When jackasses want to criticize with 'THEY SUCK' yeah, they can **** right off with that insightful commentary. They'll be the first ones sucking their dicks when we win the Super Bowl again.

Yes, we all want to see more Rice. Ross too, for that matter. They have packages of plays that will grow every week. They're learning. It's not useful to just throw them out there clueless. Those packages will grow, they're already growing, both played more snaps than the week prior.

Nobody is against having good WR's. Nobody is against having a GREAT WR. I, and a lot of others, are against paying market price for one, as it's not great for the roster building overall.

So we want to grow our own.

And that's all. All the rest of your argument is mischaracterization, and it's ****ing annoying, so yeah, sorry for being...uh...direct in my responses.

There are some who prioritize Super Bowls and some who prioritize having a flashy offense that maximizes the talents of Mahomes.

Because if we somehow had an offense ranked 7th and won a SB because of a young, aggressive, and up-and-coming defense, it wouldn't feel real and genuine.

Hypothetically if we do grow our own WRs and it works out we might have someone put up a 1,200 yard 6-8 TD season and come asking for $20 million a year. You game with just letting them walk after their rookie contract and trying to recreate the wheel at WR all over again?

I’m plenty supportive. I don’t mind spending money. But I’ve fully acknowledged that consistent and repeated effort to upgrade WR in the draft is fine too.

I don’t know if you are aware that this pre-dates drafting rashee rice. People were content with just replacing juju with skyy. Many would have been unphased if we were totally unaggressive about attacking tje WR position. And most people claiming otherwise are being disingenuous.

To the point of claiming WR1s are regressive. They hog targets. Mahomes would abandon efifciency or feel pressured to force targets. Their words, not mine. So yeah I’m just a little frustrated when people try to act like they’ve been there all along as if they weren’t fighting tooth and nail for status quo at WR.

I think I was one of the first here to suggest going after DHop. Probably a 1% chance he pulls a Moss in NE but even still, he's solid and would've fit well here imo. But after FA time passed and passed and we hadn't signed him yet, I was content to believe that he wanted a certain price that we just couldn't give him (thanks Chris Jones, that extension would've been nice).

Idk, WR1's don't grow on trees and they also want to get paid. It's hard to make that fit on a team like this. The WR room is gonna be the thing that gets put under the magnifying glass the most this year simply because of the way things played out this offseason, and also because there's not much else on the team to complain about. Except for the OT's I suppose.
