****Our Wide Receivers Suck- Official Thread****

They can’t get open, they drop passes in their hands, their jet sweeps are slow and terrible. These guys are not good.

Looks pretty similar to the Colts/Chargers games in September 2022, Giants/Titans (and other) games in 2021, Patriots game in 2020, Texans/Colts games in 2019, and so on. It’s not always perfect. Hopefully they will get into a better groove as the season goes along.

That's not really even arguable. It's just a flat fact.

I don't know what superhuman feats you're expecting, but only Tyreek Hill is as fast as Tyreek Hill.

for everyone else, you get open, you catch the ball, you run until they tackle you.

Knocking people for doing that just shows how batshit some of you guys are getting.

Blown coverage, or did Andy exploit the rules of their defensive scheme? Because that's what he ****ing does, better than anyone maybe ever in the history of football. So Skyy's big play doesn't count...because he plays for Andy Reid?

you want some hyperbole, there's some. Hell, that's arguably true.
Our guys have been getting open. We simply need 1) Pat to have enough time to hit them, 2) Pat to hit them, and 3) our guys to catch the ball. 3) was MUCH better today than Game 1. 1) could have been better. Honestly, 2) could have been a bit better as well.

The good news is that all three should get better with a little time.

Based on the history of Andy and Mahomes together I don’t see a reason not to

That's not how this season is going to go down.

Nah man, we have to pretend that we learned nothing over the last 5 years and jsut go off of what we've seen the first 2 weeks.

Can't even count on Mahomes, Andy, or Kelce's greatness. They've managed a measly 18 PPG. They're bascially the Broncos offense right now, and that's who we should expect them to be for the remainder of the season until proven otherwise.

We can, but only if we assume he's going to keep doing it.

So I said no one had any idea what JJSS was.

And you said you weren't wow but penciled him in as WR1.

So what? We didn't know whether we were getting 1400yd receiver or a brokedick WR who couldn't exist without AB.

What does that change about anything I said? He was an enigma.

He was really a #2 WR in the NFL type when he arrived that was going to be the best WR on the Chiefs roster last year.

That was all clear.

JFC I can't believe you think that everything this team has done the last 5 years is completely irrelevant and all that matters is the first 2 games of the season.

The only reason one would possibly think like this is if they're jsut a whiny little bitch at their core.

Trust me, I know that's exactly what the issue is here.
The past means shit, this is a different team,
Staff, etc.

To assume they’ll figure it out because they have in the past is just as ignorant.

I certainly HOPE they pull it together, but I’m not gonna just ASSUME they will.

Past performance doesn’t guarantee future results, even with the GOAT at QB.

I want another Home AFCCG, so forgive me for being concerned about the strength of our team looking rough early on in a nasty conference.

The divide is people panicking like little bitches two weeks into the season and questioning everything, versus people who have paid attention for the last five seasons and figure these guys know what they're doing and it's going to be okay.

Burnt Vagina gets a so much credit for drafting the "Fab 5" defensive backs, and they have so much potential as a group, and McDuffie looks like a stud, although they gave up the most TD passes in the league last year, despite playing some really bad quarterbacks.

But, now I honestly think it's time he starts getting roasted for his inability to draft a Wide Receiver.

He chose Hardman over Metcalf and McLaurin.

He drafted Moore instead of moving up a couple of spots to get Watson, and then could have moved again for Pickens (yes, character issues, like catching the ball.)

Its too early to make a judgment on Rice, but other rookie receivers have already made impacts, and Rice seemed to be MIA today.

I get the we have Mahomes so whoever is playing WR is meaningless, but it's obviously not meaningless.

Mahomes gave an interview this summer, and he lamented how he has always wanted to have a big, jump ball receiver, but watching his body language the last two weeks tells me at this point he would settle for a wide receiver that runs the correct route and CATCHES the ball.
