So Baltimore with a healthy Lamar and their D (which was best D in football to end last year) matches up really well against us.

The goal should be winning a SB, not just pretending everything our FO did worked out.

Overall, our D is ahead of schedule.

Mahomes is Mahomes. We just need to make sure he has some help in a big moment in the playoffs.
Imagine rooting for a team who has won 2 rings recently, but fearing a quarterback whose playoff record is 1-3. You don’t deserve that screen name.

Kelce will be 34 and is it becoming painfully obvious that we should start protecting him? Like, when a defenses whole strategy is to have 2-3 guys clobber him maybe give the dude some help?

The WRs are a big problem right now. How can you possibly say they’re not? I get if you want to be optimistic that they’ll get better. But they killed just as many drives as our OL did. I refuse to accept that mahomes can’t read the defense or just stalls drives. Or that one mistake is so devastating that it kills drives every single time. In fact we’re making mahomes worse because he’s overcompensating and he’s hesitant to throw to guys who might **** things up.

We didn’t make mistakes last year. We made a ton of them two years ago and this year. The big difference is this year we don’t have any reliable weapons (yet) to recover from mistakes. So every small mistake is a drive killer.
You're misreading where I'm at. I was one of the people disappointed that we didn't add anyone else at receiver. I was one of the people who thought it was a mistake to rely upon a group of unproven receivers because we can't always count on Mahomes to play to an MVP level again this year.

But it's the people who are like, "Oh, we're doomed. These WRs suck and can't do anything right and we'll never win with them." WE WON WITH THEM LAST YEAR EX-JUJU WHO IS WR5 IN NEW ENGLAND.

These exact same conversations were happening after very poor and disjointed offensive performances last year against the Chargers and Colts in September with middling at best play from our receivers. And then? We cooked defenses with one of the most efficient offensive performances ever.

We have made a ton of mistakes across the board this year on offense. There's no disputing that. Mahomes doesn't look or feel as comfortable as he did toward the end of last season. But it's early and even in a game like today you can see things improving despite a trillion penalties that put this offense in unwinnable positions.

Toney flashed. Moore flashed. Watson flashed outside of his fumble. We won the game against a really good team because we're a good team that's shown it can win in multiple ways.

We scored 17 points against a defense that was ranked in the bottom tier last season. Whoopee.

We're going to play teams that can score a lot more than 17 points. maybe we should score more.

So you think it would've been tough to get another 2-3 yards and get to 24 points? Would that make you feel much better?

I think it's a pretty good showing when you lose the TO battle by 2 and have something like 10 more penalties than your opponent.

Yep.

Now check this out: if JAX receivers hadn't barely stepped out three times today, the Jags would've scored 3 more TDs. And they just barely were out of bounds. Probably the total number of inches they were out of bounds was around 9.

Also, if Moore doesn't catch that last ball and run for like 25 more yards, our WRs would have almost exactly the same number of yards receiving as they did last game, around 140.

Wild, huh?

Honestly, I don't know. Short yardage hasn't been something KC has been good at for some time now.

And 24 points doesn't get it done either. Last year, the NFL average was 24 points. To win a Sb we need a lot more than that.

You thought we should've punched it in there at the end? We had first and goal on the Jags 2.

No way Andy does that, regardless of the style points the fans crave.

If we get one, fine. I’m experienced enough to know that two new OT’s and a group of young WR’s are going to take some time to find their way. But with a great QB, I’m of the absolute belief this group is good enough.

You’re just one of many pussies on this board who can’t see past their own Madden experience.

I thought you were disappointed we didn't score more points. THAT would have given us 7 more, per your wishes, no?
