Just curious what people's predictions of our win total are after week one. Who's panicking? Who thinks WBF? Go on record!

I think this team will be rolling around midseason, especially after getting Kelce, Jones and Omenihu back in the fold. I still think this roster is one of the best and deepest that Mahomes has had yet.

The schedule looks really rough, but that’s been the case for 2-3 years straight. It never turns out to be as difficult as it first appears.

13-4, if they stay relatively healthy.

Houston had like 8 sacks in the last 7 games last season and I don't think I heard his name once. That's exactly the sort of speed rusher that used to clown Brown.

I think Smith looked demonstrably more agile and athletic

I think if a receiver had caught just one of those dropped passes the Chiefs probably win.

Not too worried. 14-3

Exactly. He's way more agile than OBJ, and already looks better in pass protection.

This is what I keep coming back to.

I think I would have felt far worse if the Lions torched our defense and we lost a shootout 41-38 or something.

But the defense showed they can ball, without Chris Jones, and kept us in the game. We have some real talent on defense with guys that can make plays.

Toney catches that first down pass that puts us damn near in FG range and we probably win that sloppy ****fest of a game.

I really think the timing of the Kelce injury ****ed us over as well.

If we knew he was going to be out a week prior, that would give the coaches more time to work out a plan to compensate for that massive loss.

Given the information we have right now, I think 12-5 or 13-4 sounds about right.

Andy Reid’s offenses won’t look like that for extended periods. Sucks to lose the opener but whatever, moving on

14-3
That will require us to go 11-2 in our games against BUF, CIN, MIA, NYJ, PHI, MIN, JAX, LAC x2, DEN x2, and LV x2. Plus, obviously, we’d have to win the games we should against GB, CHI, and NE.

That will be tough.

(For the record, I know we should beat MIN, DEN, LV and split at worst with LAC but I feel like they’re a step up from those other three)

Looking back I'm thankful we lost this game bc it's really not a big deal. It's an NFC team so the standings aren't hurt that bad.

Our team has gotten really cocky. Yes there's good reason for that but 2021 showed us that when you get too high on yourselves, you get prideful and don't play as well. Jason Kelce said it best.."hungry dogs run faster" and last year this team was pissed off, hungry and was out to prove something.

This year we won the SB, paraded it around at the draft and seemed to think more of ourselves. I think this was a good humbling experience for them.

I've got us at 12-5 with Patrick playing his first road game in the playoffs at some point, maybe the AFCCG.

Adding Kelce, Omenihu and Jones will make this team significantly better as well as getting development from Rice and FAU

And this game? Same sort of discomfort but a bunch of young receivers, no Kelce, two new OTs… Kinda seems understandable. And we wouldn’t even be bitching if a couple guys had caught easy passes.
I probably completely misread your first post in my early morning scrolling, which seemed far more pessimistic than I would have thought...... that you couldn't think any worse of them than right now.

Oops.

You saw the clip where he literally had to stick his leg out to stop the rusher. No idea who that was but he is what he is. Absolutely everyone is more agile and athletic than OBJ is, and a lot are still worst OTs.
