Tonight was a look into an alternative future where the Chiefs waste Mahomes the same way the Packers wasted Aaron Rodgers.

Bum ass Brett Veach and cheapskate Clark Hunt need to wake the **** up and put a team around this man.

Not all "team friendly" situations are equally friendly... I think Brady was at like 12%, but numbers could be off.

Philly, Dallas. Green Bay was doing void year stuff with Rodgers while paying him way more cash than Mahomes. Tampa was doing similar stuff with Brady, paying him around $35M per year with cap hits around $15M because of the void years.

I assume Cincy is doing something similar with Burrow. Cleveland did it as well to lower Deshaun’s cap hits. They all figure they will just give the QB a new contract to help lower the cap hits in later seasons.

With Burrow getting $55 mil a year, I wonder if Veach is saving that money for Mahomes next year and therefore not paying Jones.

I don’t think so. Jones lost some leverage last night. Lions offense was very explosive last season and only scored 14 points against the KC defense. The Chiefs are more likely wanting to spend the Jones money on some of their rookie contract players such as Creed Humphrey and Trey Smith.

OL looks great, but as i said, 2 rookie deals, then the tackles offset each other.

Im not saying the team is bad, it just seems like we aren't able load up with more proven talent unless they are on 1 year vet min deals when teams with more expensive QB's seem to do it more easily

Actually I do think we win that game with Hardman last night. He probably extends a drive on at least one of those WR end arounds. However, neither this game against the Lions or Hardman on the roster makes any difference in the ultimate goal of winning the Super Bowl.
