Agreed.

Now that i've had time to sleep on it, i mostly just feel bad for KT.

Dude didn't even get injured, he had a cleanup procedure for an offseason surgery and it caused him to miss the entire offseason sans 1.5 weeks of practice before the start of the season.

And you can tell he took his offseason seriously as he added muscle mass to his frame.

And then to have a night like last night?

Brutal.

That must be frustrating on a level that's hard to comprehend. What that man must be thinking this morning....

An excellent decision. He must be beyond frustrated and doesn't need to hear from the peanut gallery.

You just need one guy to pair with Kelce who can reliably move the chains, like JuJu was last year. I assumed that would be James as a discount JuJu. As we throw stuff against the wall (what the approach feels like) hopefully one steps up and sticks. Seems like pretty even odds on who that could be.

Just sucks that in his prime age 27 season Mahomes has to overcome what appeared to be a bottom tier receiver group coming into the season, compared with his peers that he'll be competing with for MVP. Just one legit guy beyond Kelce he can trust.

Fair take imo. Awful game but some obvious causes for why he wasn't on it. Still hopeful the obvious talent comes through a little more consistently

With his speed it should matter. That is the reason for him being here. Speed kills. Separation from being fast is a thing. Does Mahomes just go through his reads so fast and is not allowing the play to develop that he is not getting balls thrown his way? I'm not going to believe that for a moment. MVS is more straight line fast and defenses are able to easily account for it. One trick pony.

Either way, his cap hit of 11 million per year, which works out to about 700K game checks for 2-3 balls a game on average is highway robbery.

I’m grateful as hell for Toney for what he did last season and can shrug off a bad performance.

I didn’t like juju running his mouth after we won. I didn’t like Toney trolling giants fans. In these instances you kind of reap what you sow. I didn’t want him to learn this way but ultimately see it as a positive that will only get him to focus again.

I am not as down on the group yet. growing pains will happen with a bunch of new guys. Someday they will have to spend some money at WR but this season this is what we got. I am sure Veach is making notes on what can be bought for next year to help Mahomes.
