Attending my first Chiefs game

It's been a long time coming, but I'm finally planning to make the big trip to visit Kansas City from Australia to see my Chiefs play. With this thread I'm mainly keen to suss out the seating situation at Arrowhead, but any general advice or useful information to know when visiting Kansas City would be great to hear.

I've been in touch with a ticket rep, so generally know how the ticket buying process works and I'm ready to grab a couple of home game tickets shortly after the schedule is released this week. I plan on going to the home opener, so I have my fingers crossed that there will be at least two home games in the first three weeks of the season. A couple of basic questions I have:
  • Where are the best seats at Arrowhead? Either midfield or an endzone might be the obvious choices, but if anyone can provide specific advice on this that would be great. i.e. best value seats for the price, best view of the field/team, etc. I'm aware the ticket prices are high at the moment but it is what it is.
  • Is there anything to do at Arrowhead during the week when games aren't being played and during away games? I.e. tours of the stadium, Chiefs related events, etc.
And about the City:
  • What are the must do's and must see's in Kansas City? Chiefs related or otherwise.

Aside from Chiefs home games, I'm hoping to catch at least one Mizzou and/or K-State game, as well as a Royals game and Sporting Kansas City match (depresso I know, but when in Rome right). A trip to the Pro Football HOF would also be on the list if at all possible. I'll probably bump this thread a few times over the coming months with more questions, but decided to get the ball rolling by hearing what the upstanding Kansas Citians of the Planet have to say first!

Cheers

With that attitude, you will always be eating bbq at Q39 or Jackstack, thinking you are eating the best.

Congrats. Have fun, take a lot of pics, and try the BBQ. Too many great ones to list, but these guys will point you at some really good ones. I'm a fan of Arthur Bryant's, Big T's, and Gates

The WWI museum is fantastic. It’s famous on TikTok for its male restroom, but there are other things to see there. While you are there, the Union Station is within walking distance, and close to those is a Jack Stack. Take the free trolly to the river market and get some food you’ve never had before. That’s a good day right there.
Famous Dave’s?

Really?

We had a Famous Dave bbq go in near my home. At that time we had Smokehouse, Smoking Guns and Hog Jaws in Riverside now in NKC. It was about a year are so with hardly a car in the parking lot. They then cut a hole in the side of the building and put a funky drive through. Still no business and you could never smell woodsmoke when driving by. So out it went and a Fat Shack started remodeling signs up but never opened.

If you want to see the hall of fame too then its a 12 hour drive, or an additional plane flight.
Even domestic flights in the US are a pain in the ass with security and delays so plan accordingly.

There is pretty much nothing else worthwhile in the canton Ohio area so the HOF trip may not be a great investment tbh.

Kansas city is pretty cool, but if you want to see some sights while your in the us (nature/geological type things) west and spend a few days in Colorado or Wyoming. Tons of cool shit to see if your into mountains/forest types of adventures.

Also, Get joes BBQ.

I really don't think he wants to catch a Royals game. He's trying to find fun things to do.

If she's there every Monday and Tuesday, why doesn't she drive herself? Do you go just to make sure she's not taking too much shit from the customers at her part-time job at Cinnabon?

Because she is scared to drive the highways. She is Asian do you want to drive on any road she maybe on. I've had her drive highways she does fine. I think it's mostly she is afraid of getting lost. She works partime at Martin City Brewing or any other bar restaurant that happens to be busy. Her full time job is Harrahs Casino she works to send money to her family back home. Anything else you think you need to know? Oh she parks and rides the airport bus. I pick her up 11 pm.
