Kevin Harland should be CBS #1 announcer

This game just hi-lighted how good Harlan is as a commentator. I have no idea why Nantz is their #1. I think Green is a dependable color commentator but admit Romo is a better analyst. I think Harlan and Romo should be CBS #1 team.

Harlan describes the game better. He’s better pointing out which player did what. He is more emotionally invested in the game without being a Homer for either team. Nantz seems to have the personality of wet cardboard. Also, he seems to root for whoever is playing KC, although that could be me.

The downside to KC’s quality play is us getting Nantz and Romo. As frustrating as this game was, at least Harlan was in the booth and not Nantz.

I said it in the other thread, but Romo annoys the piss out of me.

Everybody sucks his dick and I have no idea why. He's no better than half the color guys out there.

I turned off Brady/Bengals after about 10 minutes because the guy wouldn't talk about the ****ing game. It was nothing but, "aaaaawwwwwwww Jim I think these Bucs are way better than their record look at this play now that's a play only the best teams make they're going to be a really tough team in the playoffs Jim"

Give me a team with somebody on it who just talks about what he sees in front of him and leaves the prognosticating to the shmucks on these debate shows from M-F

My guess is that Harlan/Green are rarely placed on KC games due to their history with the team.

Does Aikman/Buck get the Cowboys a lot? Not sure, but I'm guessing no.

No, it's because CBS thinks Nantz is better than Harlan, and KC is a really good team, so they give the best matchups to the "best" team

If Harlan were the #1 guy, they'd give the majority of KC games to them.

Not only this but it doesn't seem as if Green has evolved much as a color analyst.

I admittedly don't get many Green games but yesterday was likely listening to a preseason game from like 7 years ago.

Nantz hates the Chiefs?

It’s funny fans always think the announcers hate their teams, they never comment when they like their team

Romo likes us.

Trent Green obviously likes us

Cris Collinsworth loves calling Mahomes (and alot of other great QBs) games

I think Aikman/Buck got the Cowboys because their the #1 Fox team, and the Cowboys were often the #1 game on Fox, because Cowboys

Alot of Dallas fans didn’t like Aikman because they felt he was too hard on the team, almost as if he was trying hard to sound unbiased.

Green definitely had an off-game yesterday. He just has zero personality but is knowledgeable. I have seen him and Harlan a few times this year and he isn't usually that bad. He played and lives in KC so has to be extra careful of homerism I guess.

These broadcasters get old, they leave them there well past their prime and we suffer.

Al Michaels needs to be put out to pasture.
Cris Collinsworth and his fanboy act for any player who makes one play is suddenly the second coming of Jesus is so overplayed and worn out.
Trent Green is there to counterbalance Harlan but he was annoying yesterday.
Tony Romo still is one of the best at telling you what is going on but he is also becomming too showy and won't shut up.

I really wish Charlie Jones and Curt Gowdy were still around.

I noticed that too. There was a penalty against a Texans player #38 at one point, and he called the penalty on Sneed instead of the Texans player. He did something similar at another point in the game.

Harlan's call is a bit nostalgic for me. He's like an old friend who has stopped by for a visit.
