Not sure that is proof of anything. Without being told I would guessed that. i mean you give up a third for a guy who barely touched the field in two years of course you trading for him on the potential you saw when the Giants drafted him.

If Moore was starting and playing lights out do they do this deal? Not sure they do but maybe it is looking at 2023 season where MVS, Hardman and JuJu all will be wanting paid. If they think Moore is a better player they probably do not see Tooney getting off the bench this year. Not sure i give a third for someone that returns punts the rest of the year..

Sky Moore isn't even the type of player that Toney is.

Toney is quick twitch and excels with the ball in his hands and being dynamic, Sky Moore's upside is a Golden Tate type, creating separation off the line and in routes as a solid possession guy.

I don't think this move had anything to do with Moore, but i do think it's Moore's snaps he's gonna eat.

But both will share the same role in our offense. Which is to use their short area quickness to get open underneath.

Texas Tech HOF dinner is tonight in Lubbock. Mahomes might have made a particular effort to meet up with Toney at the building today.

If they'd get Moore off the punt returns I think that'd help a ton. I'm sure that stress seeing as he doesn't have experience with it and he isn't good at it, isn't helping his receiver development.

I once had dinner with Quentin Jammer and LaDanian Tomlinson.

I'll never forget Jammer's forearms. They were WTF genetic mutant freak-type big. Never knew forearms could look like you were smuggling infants in them.

Lord - look at his feet...

He's making a hard cut as he's turning his body completely around and then immediately gets back up to speed.

I mean that's just indefensible in a 1v1 situation.

I was really wanting to get Moore on the field because I didn't see another WR I thought could just go out there and torch single coverage on the backside of the play. Holy buckets man, is that Toney's bread and butter.

It really helps keep teams honest in how they cover Kelce or even JJSS. Teams are willing to dedicate a double to Kelce and then even be ready to roll the other safety over to the strong side because they aren't that concerned about the X receiver on the back-side just obliterating his guy on a route. So they'll single up over there.

But man, if you could get Toney up to speed in the offense and operating out of that X position, it's going to make it impossible to roll coverage. You could still double Kelce, but you couldn't double Kelce AND give extra attention to that side of the field for drag routes and/or quick hitters to JJSS. And with enough attention you could actually use Toney to draw safety attention over that lets MVS get free downfield.

His ability to beat man would open up a TON in this offense. We don't have it. We needed it. And he has it in spades.

This is a move for the next 2-3 years. The Chiefs have 2 of their top 3 WRs with expiring contracts after this year.

It has nothing to do with Moore.

As for why that's further proof, people are acting like the Chiefs traded for a WR because they're unhappy with Moore. They've probably been eyeing Toney going back to the draft. They've definitely had their eyes on him since trade runors started in the spring (April which is before the draft), and clealry had discussions too.

This isn't that complicated.
