I still think they should go get Hughes. He's so cheap and would probably only cost a late round pick. They could get Hughes and still have some room to play around with acquiring more.

And also have the surplus value of not having to pay a signing bonus so his cap charges are basically free. And the pick was basically free for running a good franchise and getting people promoted.

We basically got a troubled WR with full blown elite upside for what amounts to nothing in terms of investment and we have such a good locker room we may be one of the 2-3 teams he could have gone to and had a good chance to get to his potential.

What a great time to be a Chiefs fan.

If Andy and the locker room can get him focused on excelling in his role, we just added Percy Harvin to an already elite offense.

We’ve seen Veach hit on good late round picks such as Trey smith, sneed and Watson. We won’t have as many opportunities to find those types of players because we will have less picks.
