He absolutely looks like a 4.4ish guy on tape. He’s not a Christian Watson elite speed kind of WR, but he’s plenty fast enough to get behind a defense.

And I have no doubt that he can play on the outside. He definitely showed that he can do that.

Nah i'm good. I'm looking for a boundary receiver. I don't like Sanders' game and i don't like Dotson's game.

That's just me though, and i'm not saying he can't have a nice career.

I guess i'm an "elite physical traits" guy and i don't see that in Dotson. I've never been high on guys like Amari Cooper etc either.

Meanwhile, George Pickens, Christian Watson etc....those kinda guys i find highly intriguing as they have the physical tools to be electric on the perimeter.

I think Sanders and Diontae Johnson (with better hands) are perfect comparisons for him, and that would be damn good at the end of the 1st.

I’d prefer Burks or Pickens, but Dotson would be a really solid pick.
Apparently i deleted my post, but i'd honestly rather pass on a WR in the 1st if Dotson is the option.

In the open field he is plenty fast. In and out of routes is when he looks pretty casual. However, if the ball is around him at all the chances of him coming away with it are really good. The guy's hands are special.

They say he struggled at times with a hard press corners because he is a bit undersized. He'd be lethal as a slot option on deep and intermediate routes. He kind of reminds me of a Keenan Allen except Dotson is faster and Allen is more quick than fast. I think he's more suited on the inside and we need an outside threat.

Keenan Allen is a lot bigger.

And we already have 3 slot receivers on the roster in Schuster, Hardman and MVS.

At some point this team needs to real outside threat.

5'-11" 180lbs is just another guy who's going to get bodied by real NFL corners.

People are just ****ing whack. You want higher upside than a damn good player in his prime like Sanders, yet you scoff at the the high upside guys with risk like Watson.

Let's be honest, what you really want is a guy like Garrett Wilson at 30. High ceiling, high floor, clean prospect. I'm sure there are 30 guys like that in this class.

Just dumb. It must be the oversaturation of draft content that's given people such dumb expectations. Hitting on one of our two firsts, and having him on the team in 3-4 years playing at a good level, would be a success. We aren't getting Calvin Johnson and Aaron Donald at 29 and 30.

I do agree with that. We need a guy that plays strong against an outside press. Even Pickens struggled to separate at times against a strong press corner.

Pfft debating which WR to take is pointless, Mahomes will make him look like a god book it. (Side eye Hardman)

Actually they say 53% of first round picks don't live up to their draft stock. So no matter where you're picking in the first round there is a high chance the player is going to be a disappointment. I mean Donald wasn't even a top 10 pick that year. So it truly is a gamble.

All I'm saying is it's hard to suck at corner in Spags system when you've shown Woolen's ability. He's a former WR so he has ball skills, instincts. On top of that he's generally going to be the fastest guy on the field. He's a very, very, rare athlete. You just don't see it.
