Because in a couple of years, his contract will be a steal. If we keep restructuring it....it'll just keep getting more and more expensive every season moving forward.

Veach probably had the plan of extending Hill to gain cap space right now and an OBJ deal this summer to have money to sign all of the draft picks. When the Hill deal fell through, it opened up cap space that way.

Yeah, no sense in anything other than a DE if you're going up. I would do it.

If the Oregon DE got to 12 or 13, I'd do it.

People didn't see DK Metcalf or AJ Brown as a #1 receiver either. I think this class is high floor but not as high ceiling as last year.

I'm not sure we need a true #1 either.

Pretty sure I saw a comment from Veach or Andy saying the class is deep and that they can still get guys they like in R3/R4.

Unless someone drops, I think people are going to be disappointed when a WR isn't taken with 29 or 30.

I hope to God they don't take a WR at 29 or 30. Unless it's Olave. He's the only one I'd be okay with and that's because of his route running ability and speed.

I was good with Burks for a while but I'm not seeing him in the 1st like a bunch of guys are.

At this point, give me about 3 or 4 #2/#3 type guys. I'd love to have an elite badass, but we just had one and traded him away. Don't chase that.

Hill made it very clear at his press conference that Miami was his home and they gave him the money he wanted. Veach did what he could do. Giving Hill that much money would have choked the roster to nothing.
