Seems like a QB would be affected by it more than an offensive lineman.

One guy gets punched in the rib area 100 times per game. The other maybe 6.

Do you think getting punched 100 times would be worse than getting pushed 6 times?

Is it more difficult to get punched in your broken ribs 100 times, or to throw a 3-lb. ball . . . hmmmm.

While I agree that both are great, it’s a .690 winning percentage (overall) versus an .813 winning percentage (post bye). That’s a pretty significant disparity.

It’s like the difference between a team going 13-3 every year versus a team going 11-5.

Team A is going to end up with a much different playoff seed than Team B.


It’s most definitely statistically significant.
