Well I meant that (posting losses) in share price terms so it's easy to understand.

Example.

I bought AMC at $55. This would tell someone that I am down exactly 16% on my position by looking at today's share price.

Being down some random -$65 could mean you're basically break even on a large position, or down a whole lot if the original position was only $100 to begin with.

Example- I lost $150 today on a trade but that tells you nothing unless you know the position size (and no one needs to know that) so I just say that's a 5% loss.

And I'll be honest, I've never seen someone with an all green portfolio. Know when to dump losers, which it sounds like you are doing on occasion. Fundamentals are definitely vital for long positions so keep researching.

I ****ing hate puts. I got in some short dated corn puts (run of dec contract but expire 7/31) at $5 For $.09 when corn was IIRC 5.50. I got out when corn was 5.38. And they were worth .0375. Everytime I buy those goddamn things I regret it.
