Their pass rush efficiency fell by almost 50% last year when he wasn't on the field. For all of the talent they had, that talent depended on Ford giving them better matchups.

I’ll believe you, but he ain’t worth that on our roster. Not even 1/3 of it. We used to be the team signing expensive FA from winning teams and trying to get 8 wins....while they kept producing cheap replacements.

Yep, I mentioned that in another post in this thread. Cap is obviously down for a year or two, but new TV contracts and new sources of income from gambling and elsewhere likely sees an explosion in the salary cap. I think Mahomes' contract will eventually be seen as a bargain, of course there's always the possibility that him and his agent try to renegotiate a new contract at that point.

I agree. We're damn lucky Breeland is still here. If he finally decides to get a bigger contract, he'll be gone too. CB's are just too expensive.

I know there's been speculation he might be back, and I'd love to have him, but I know he's been searching for that "big" contract relative to what he's been getting. He wouldn't have been back last year IMO without the off the field issues. Not sure on his market, but I think he's likely gone.
