So lets talk some legit options for our pick.

So with Breeland coming back that pretty much leaves us open to take the best player on the board.

I'd like in this thread to post some videos and such since in a lot of threads there are questions about how good a guy is and what he can do so twitter and youtube of course are great for vids.

Even though I've pined for Willie Gay quite a bit there are numerous other guys I'd be fine with using our pick on because well they'd be fine fits.

So I'll start with some Willie Gay video since I've been asked a few times what he's good at...

For those of you dead set on a RB in the first 3, what about Antonio Gibson in the 2nd?

He’s gotten a little play in the draft forum, but haven’t seen much if any talk about him here... 6’2 225, electric mover not a long strider like most guys that tall, can run away from people or run through them

And best of all is an outstanding downfield receiver...

They have the size/RAC ability/physicality that Watkins can provide. Neither is ready to do that Day 1, but they could provide some depth this year and be ready for larger roles next season.

Brugler mocked Chase Claypool to the Chiefs in the second round, which also is interesting. I don't think he's available that late, but he's a phyiscal hybrid sort who might be able to give them snaps as an outside receiver and eventually move to TE. His versatility is interesting, for sure.
Ah here we go, missed this... I’m all about it, Gibson gets us a dangerous top back but leaves that #1 open for defense

If you do that he will make great plays..won't often get open on his own in the NFL.

Has his stock inflated that much?

I still like him more as a WR option but it looks like scout consensus is he is a RB at the next level.

From what I have seen Gibson is a "tweener", RB or WR and his projection is 4th or 5th. Never know though.

My guide has him ranked #7, going in the second or third

Yeah bit of a tweener, which means Reid could scheme him into just about anything... very unique player, I’d be thrilled

I looked up PFF's top running backs and was shocked at who they had Zack Moss ahead of Swift, Taylor, and Dobbins. But after watching a little film, dude reminds me a ton of Kareem Hunt. An elusive short stepper with mad contact balance and sneaky power. I really like him.

Finally adjusted my WR's and am good to go now.

For reference, last year my graded 1st round WR's were

Hollywood Brown, Terry McLaurin, DK Metcalf, and Hakeem Butler. 3 out of the 4 looked great, only Butler did nothing with an injury that ended his season (and he probably will be the type to take an extra year or two)

My sleeper was Diontae Johnson who went to the Steelers.

This year 1st rounders in order

1.Jerry Jeudy- The Man
2.CeeDee Lamb
3.Justin Jefferson
4.KJ Hamler
5. Henry Ruggs

After that

2nd round..

6.Michael Pittman
7.Laviska Shenault
8. Brandon Aiyuk
9.Jalen Reagor
10. Denzel Mims
11.Tee Higgins
12. Donovan Peoples-Jones

Sleepers to target after 3rd round

Darnell Mooney, Tulane
Devin Duvernay, Texas

So in the 1st round based on who people are saying is going the only WR I would look at for 32 would be KJ Hamler.

I like Pittman a lot as well but probably could get him cheaper in a trade back if they wanted the big body guy.

KJ Hamler a first round talent? Better than Ruggs?

Hamler is just so small....

Also I'm going to go ahead and say this, I think there is a really really good chance Ruggs is the first WR off the board.

Hey, people laughed at Terry McLaurin last year when I said he was a 1st rounder. Ruggs has one elite route..his routes are run at a slow speed and he does turbo when he has the ball or is running in a straight line.

Give me Hamler who has two speeds. Rope-A-Dope and Dynamite.

Hamler the more dangerous player.
