So lets talk some legit options for our pick.

So with Breeland coming back that pretty much leaves us open to take the best player on the board.

I'd like in this thread to post some videos and such since in a lot of threads there are questions about how good a guy is and what he can do so twitter and youtube of course are great for vids.

Even though I've pined for Willie Gay quite a bit there are numerous other guys I'd be fine with using our pick on because well they'd be fine fits.

So I'll start with some Willie Gay video since I've been asked a few times what he's good at...

I'm a bigger fan of what guys like Gladney and Fulton bring even though they're all rated similar.
I also have Gladney and Fulton ahead of him, but not by too much.

Matt Miller and Daniel Jeremiah, two of the very best, have Johnson rated higher, so it wouldn’t shock me if he goes before those guys.

Guys like Jaylon Johnson don’t go in the 3rd/4th round dude
Here's the thing, Aiyuk isn't someone I like to use as an example. He's a weird case of being a great athlete but needing help in being a factor. In games where the opponents pressed him and beat him up at the line he was terrible. When he was able to move around and get free release he made big plays.

Aiyuk is probably the player with the widest variety of opinions, apparently there are teams that have him as a 1st rounder and others that have him in the 4th.

I think what Daniel Jeremiah said on NFLN the other day is true: GM’s are going to try to draft the cleanest prospects they can as early as they can bc they are too worried about this situation and not getting enough information.
Medicals are a big deal this year, Zack Moss is coming off an injury and his trainer says he's fine but what incentive does he have to be honest?

Aiyuk is a slot only because he can't beat press coverage.

FWIW I read that Jalen Reagor put on weight (believe it was 10 lbs) before the combine which is why he ran a slower time. Never understand why these guys do that unless you’re frail. I mean the guy was 5’11” in the mid 190’s.
Your speed will help you more than weight decreasing speed. You can always put weight on with speed in training.

Reagor is absolutely faster than 4.47 though. He’s got really good burst and constantly separates.

I think he runs a sub 4.4. Maybe 4.38

Reagor is interesting. We already have Hardman, if we draft a WR we need someone more polished.

It would be a Watkins or Robinson replacement

Johnson’s timetable for recovery/return is early to mid-August. Not ideal, even if a labrum injury isn’t as concerning for a DB as say a QB or lineman...

I expect him to drop, as well as Bryce Hall. Late 2nd at the earliest for these guys, more likely 3rd and lower.

I don’t know what you’re seeing with Aiyuk, but the guy has speed, agility, RAC ability, and some long arms that give him a ridiculous catch radius for a guy his size.

I agree that he’s a little raw in terms of route running, but the guys a ****ing stud.

When scouting a Pac 12 WR, easiest shortcut is to watch the WR vs Oregon. Oregon is one of the few teams to press guys out there and take it to the wr and Aiyuk wasn't ready for it.

Maybe he will learn that down the road but if you draft him you better not play him outside to start.

I like Aiyuk going to a team like NO. Another guy not a fit here.

I think right now he's more athlete than he is polished receiver, he's probably at minimum a package player for 2 years and he may always be that.

If I was taking a guy for just pure playmaking I like Shenault more.
