So lets talk some legit options for our pick.

So with Breeland coming back that pretty much leaves us open to take the best player on the board.

I'd like in this thread to post some videos and such since in a lot of threads there are questions about how good a guy is and what he can do so twitter and youtube of course are great for vids.

Even though I've pined for Willie Gay quite a bit there are numerous other guys I'd be fine with using our pick on because well they'd be fine fits.

So I'll start with some Willie Gay video since I've been asked a few times what he's good at...

Darwin Thompson at this point looks like a freakin' air head. He's aloof.

He's a spark plug sure, but he's wildly inconsistent and you just cant trust him.

Washington may end up being a decent player for us. We'll know as soon as Damien gets injured because he WILL get injured.

The rest of that list is a bunch of JAGS.

What you're saying is, "We're good with JAGS".

The rest of us are saying, "we can do better than a JAG, and our Running game could be a feature, not handicap".

DaneMcCloud is definitly off about the RB position but after CB and LB, it is the biggest need along with IOL.

RB is arguably the easiest position to find quality in the lower rounds, UDFA or even the remaining free agents.

You're crazy if you think the Chiefs should rely on a 28 year old who's never been healthy for an entire season in 6 tries, and some bottom feeder scrubs who'd be lucky to make another NFL roster.

Look around the league - the Ravens, Saints, 49ers and other Super Bowl contenders have strong running games with elite or near elite running backs.

The Chiefs lost games last season when Mahomes wasn't 100%, games they would have won otherwise, save for the fact their running game was dogshit.

Counting on a bunch of unproven running backs this season, especially in a season without OTA's, minicamps and private workouts with Mahomes, is extremely unwise.

If it's so easy, where's the Chiefs feature back?

Where's their 1,000+ yard rusher on this roster?

Guys like spencer ware and Carlos Hyde are always available for next to nothing. Draft o line or defense early

He may have the physical attributes to be successful NFL running back but he just seems completely lost when he's on the field.

Look no further than the playoff game, in which the ball landed in his hands while he stood there, trying to figure out what move to make next.

It was like he was thinking in real-time, "What should I do now?".

He's shown no instincts and no vision.

Why would you want to feature a running back when you have the best QB on the planet. Our running back needs to pick up 3rd and 1 and kill the clock

So, sign Spencer Ware, again, only to watch him play a few games, then end up on IR for the rest of the season?

Seems wise.

What’s funny is one of the guys that’s been used as an example is Phillip Lindsay and the Broncos just overpaid for a 1st round RB to replace him lmao

The truth is, most of the leagues best backs come in rounds 1-3.

Not going to have a 1,000+ yard rusher on this team as that is not the offense we operate.

If you put a gun to my head and say “interior line or RB?”, I’m taking that lineman

I’m ****ing sick of watching that interior collapse almost instantaneously game after game... #15 was constantly facing jailbreaks, and the AFCW has been loading up on D line all offseason

If we take a back that’s fine, but make it in the 4th or lower

They're playing some serious defenses on the road this season in the Saints, the Bucs, Bills and Ravens while the Raiders and Chargers have already added some damn good players to their defenses.

If teams don't respect the Chiefs running game, Mahomes will be running for his life all season and there's no single offensive lineman upgrade that would change that fact.
