So lets talk some legit options for our pick.

So with Breeland coming back that pretty much leaves us open to take the best player on the board.

I'd like in this thread to post some videos and such since in a lot of threads there are questions about how good a guy is and what he can do so twitter and youtube of course are great for vids.

Even though I've pined for Willie Gay quite a bit there are numerous other guys I'd be fine with using our pick on because well they'd be fine fits.

So I'll start with some Willie Gay video since I've been asked a few times what he's good at...

A few things that don't get brought up often, what about Josh Jones?

If they select Gay I trust they've done their homework but the last that thing we need in this locker room is another Marcus Peters. No character concerns please. The talent of course is there.

Oooor we could figure out how to get Simmons. But I'm just biased because he's from beautiful sunny Olathe.
Queen is projected to the Ravens at #28. There is a slim chance he could still be there

Supposedly he interviewed really well and teams don't view his character as a big deal, the academic stuff I don't care about...he however did jack the teams QB in the face and break his jaw before their bowl game. Would like to hear how that went exactly cause with what we know it's hard to know how it played out.

I wish people would realize that projections don’t mean shit at the lower half of the first round.

And with that Kenneth Murray will not be making it to our pick. When a guys story is his parents adopting 3 special needs children and it changing his life, he has the production, the talent and he's high character, yep not happening.

#1 Option: Trade back into the second round, somewhere between 33-40.

#2 Option: LB, RB, WR, CB = Best Player Available

Also a good argument on Queens side is he's only 20 years old, super young prospect.

We’ve been talking to him

I think this is a dark horse selection. This is a very good year to get an OT. There aren’t usually this many quality tackles coming out and this guy is an athletic big player with long arms that seems to be quality talent. Guys like him are usually top 15 picks

You could slip him into guard for 2 years so fill a starting spot while prepping for the future.

I would applaud this. Jones is a top 20 physical talent. Fisher is going to cost $ and he and Schwartz are getting long in the tooth.
Jones would flourish in Heck’s scheme - the man can move and is tremendous athlete given his measurables. Even if they kick him inside his first year or two, he would destroy souls...

So I'll talk CB a bit here.....my personal favorite 1st round CB that could make it to 32 is Kristian Fulton. Reminds me a lot of Tredavious White and not because they went to the same school. High floor, not super flashy but plays smart and always gets the job done.

Jeff Gladney is my other one, lots of scheme versatility here and is very competitive, real nice fit for the Chiefs.

Now for a mid round guy, I'm a huge fan of Amik Robertson, 5'8 outside CB that ran in the 4.4s dude has serious swagger and plays like it. No fear, plays much bigger than he is. Just so much edge to his game and you can see how much he wants it.

Love the absolute no fear he shows of that 4.35 receiver in that clip.

We've been having the same convo in the Draft Forum, with some good thoughts on this subject. Feel free to read through and add as needed, either here or there.

Additionally, we are still doing the "Visits/interests" thread this year, too, so you can see who all we've shown interest in or talked to.

Looking at the corners I think Diggs matches what they're looking for. BPA is probably the route they go and I wouldn't rule out a WR in the first or a trade up.

Things tend to get lost over there, I see lots of RB speculation....

I'll throw this out, I would be stunned if Swift makes it to our pick, could easily see the Dolphins using that last 1 on him as they have 0 at the position.

I don't like Wisconsin RBs so Taylor is out for me, they all seem to come out of college overworked and abused. However as a later round pick I like Quintez Cephus.
