Ideally, you’d like to get Shurmur some experience. Having a cost controlled long term backup that could possibly be moved for a pick at one point would be nice.

Adams is 1 of the best players in the league. Jones got hurt and still ran for 5.7 yards, we didnt turn them over once, and they specifically targeted our linebackers (11 for 11 IIRC), and they went 8/13 on 3rd downs.

Now yes Brady isnt going to gash us on a few plays like Rodgers did but what the hell did you see that indicates this defense is better and can slow down the Patriots?

My hope is they are just limiting DOD because hes not a durable player but has shown value in coverage proof last year but was hurt for the playoffs.

I know this board hates Sorenson I do too but he does add value being a box safety, I've seen him play better than he did Sunday.

Theres your answer on possibly slowing down passes to RBs for big gains.

Honestly, the way it's looking right now, the Patriots Offense doesn't look like it has been. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if we go to Foxboro and they fist us sideways at all, but basically I'm just going to take a wait and see approach.

Wilson is our best starting LB vs the passes to rn but some reason Hitchens goes one on one with them

I will say that I noticed some really good communication on defense Sunday night. It was kinda cool seeing when Rodgers would audible and we checked our D play call...most of the team was in unison signaling the play change.

Man, if we can scheme some help for Hitchens on the RB isolation plays, I think we could really turn the corner on that side of the ball.

Brady still looks good, they have James White and Edelman . Unless 1 of those guys isnt playing I have no faith we win unless we score 40 points.

That's a tall task especially against a pretty good defense.

Literally that’s our only concern on defense is the running backs on our linebackers. We’ve stopped the run back to back weeks and pass game is phenomenal. Pass game besides the RBs I mean
