***OFFICIAL Chiefs vs Chargers Game Day Thread***

At long last, an incomparable and unparalleled day is upon us, Planeteers.

The Patrick Mahomes II Era begins with this game. May the Bolts fizzle and sputter as expected and may the New Chiefs begin their rise to greatness in dramatic fashion.

In lieu of a bunch of secret spoiler deals, I have composed a brief poetism in honor of the occasion. May it meet with your approval. Ahem ...

There once was a kid named Mahomes
Who had truly unique chromosomes
The Bolts were aghast
When the Chiefs scored so fast
And Mahomes incapacitated their ohms

There you have it, Planeteers. Go Chiefs!

(Sorry if re-post.)

[QUOTE=OKchiefs;13721257]Yeah, calling bs on that. Houston will be lucky to reach 7-8 sacks this year.

10-15 is the best case scenario, your projection is realistic.Just sayin, with the lead, they told him to chill if he didn't do it himself. His knees are probably done though, full of unwanted fluids, but his heart is pure and pounds with every snap. He's a big tough football player.

He's gonna get his 10, maybe more - if only because the other team will often be playing from behind.

Look, Houston's stats were 1 assist. 1 assist.

Now you can't judge a defender's performance entirely from stats, but if you're a factor in the game you will put up SOMETHING.

KC's defense can't be good if Houston plays like a JAG.

I just saw that article and I think you're right, Mr. Bob Dole.

After re-watching those two scores, they were identical plays. One to DAT and the other to #10. The one to Hill was more precise and much faster and cleaner, though ... at least the way I saw it.

I'm sure that, like me, you've seen some fabulous backfield ball-handling. But when they pulled that thing off, I was literally staring agape at the tv. The amount of choreography and timing involved was spectacular.

I've seen a lot of fakes, but I don't recall ever seeing that before.

andy is using all the college tricks in the books

we cannot forget tho, last year. all the success they had, UNTIL defenses figured them out... but...

andy sure is having fun with his new toy

ETA: it just dawned on me. those quick 'pitch' td's pat 'threw'. i would be curious if andy does that specifically to 'pat' his qb's stats. tyreek and dat are receivers. if it's a handoff, our savior doesn't get credit....

is andy a stat whore for pat?

I think everybody was dragging ass on defense because it was maybe 80 degrees max and no sun at all during practice this week, fires might have had a residual impact on air quality. It was pretty brutal conditions for defense in general. The chargers we're gassed as well on d. Are we thin on defense? Yes. Is Houston done, or close to it? Maybe, but I don't think it matters how we or he plays on defense these next few weeks. That chargers offense/rb is pretty good, we won't see anything like that for a minute with the exception of bell next week if he plays. I like our chances when the weather cools down.

the lack of sacks and pressures is purely due to rivers ability to get the ball out fast. obviously we miss berry, but even without, i would say playing the steelers, you will see more pocket pressure.

i hate to say it, but there is a lot to learn from the browns this week.

As much as Houston is paid I think he can play hard even when it's hot outside.

2 TD’s and 254 yards

Chargers got some major garbage time stat padding yesterday. This game was over at 31-12 at the end of the 3rd. Chargers got all of those stats when the game was out of reach

Sorry dude, but with Bob Sutton and the Prevent... do you really think the game is out of reach?

Do you need some choke job reminders?

Until Sutton is gone, prepare your butthole.
