Him having his best personal game and him being a solid #2 that can show up each week are two different things. I like him but asking him to be able to handle #2 duties, Amerson to turn it around, and Fuller to handle going from a #3 to #1 is expecting a lot.

Hear me out:

1. Versatile DB who can Rush/Cover/Tackle

2. Experience playing in the box

3. Play making ability/Return ability


He would give our defense another play maker on the back end. Him & Berry would be stellar together in short yardage and deep passing lanes.


I agree he has been injury prone, but I believe if you get him and he stay injury free than you have won big.

Just wanted to add if we get him we can use the draft exclusively for the trenches....maybe pick up a later round DB

I pretty much said this all last week but needs be damned, I would rather spend the money on Watkins, a young dynamic receiver, than a lesser quality defensive player that will only marginally help the defense.

Adding Watkins gives KC maybe the best offensive personnel in football for at least the next two years. It was a no brainer for KC, as they are now extremely difficult to game plan for. Not only that, but it helps the defense too. We're bound to build up leads or be able to play keepaway if necessary.

I don’t get where people think Nelson was that bad last year. He was out for the first half IIRC and had a decent year all things considered. He had an “average” grade for PFF which I think sounds about right.

I think he has his best year in a contract year.

I know he said on IG that he’s going to prove he’s a top 5 ( ) corner inside or out this year, so he’s up for the challenge.

That's all fine and dandy until we run into a power running team in the playoffs and they keep our offense off the field by running the ball down our throats.

I don't remember saying he had a bad year. In fact I twice in this thread say I like him as a player. I just am concerned about leaning on him to be our #2. Again, if it wasn't good enough last year when Peters was opposite him, is it going to IMPROVE with Fuller opposite him? Is Amerson really going to make up the difference?
