Helps the Robinson's of the world to have a Doug Baldwin playing on the other side of the field, as well. We all know Tyreek is a true weapon, but he isn't a 90-100 catch guy just yet.

Plus, I really don't feel like WR is a priority on this team considering the holes we have elsewhere. I'm a Marcus Kemp fan and would love to see what he could do as our 3rd or 4th WR.

I don’t want to spend on a Sammy Watkins or Allen Robinson. It would be like too many cooks in the kitchen. We’ve got an amazing 3 headed monster attack in Hill, Kelce and Hunt that hurt defenses badly with Alex ****ing Smith. Mahomes is just going to magnify that.

Just add a complimentary weapon through the draft or FA without spending much and utilize your money on LG and defense.

We saw Mahomes make Albert Wilson look like Julian Edelman. He’s gonna make a #2 and #3 receiver look way better than they are.

I wonder if there’s any chance that we after Norwell still. It’d be a surprising but great signing.

You mean like the Steelers let Sanders hit the market?

Revisionist history at it’s finest.

Also, NOBODY is saying he’s in that category. He’s just a cheaper option.

This place cracks me up.

I've been here for 12 years now, and for every one of those years, people here have been pissed that we don't have enough weapons at WR - that our WR1 would be a good WR2/3, that we have no depth at the position, etc.

Now, we have a legit WR1 but nothing but question marks on the other side - with a (basically) rookie QB and plenty of cap space - and the ability to add a legit weapon...and people are saying we're fine?

Weren't we ranked like 27th in red zone scoring?

Mahomes has played one game against a Denver team who had mailed it in. I love the guy, and can't wait to see how his career plays out - but expecting him to turn slapdicks like Albert Wilson into studs because of one game is ridiculous.

There's no reason why we can't use FA and the draft to fill holes. Hell, NOW is exactly the time to do it, while we have 15 on a rookie deal.

This changed recently.

Not long ago, Watkins was pegged around $9 million, and Robinson was between $11-12 million. Richardson’s number has held pretty steady between $6-7 million.

I wonder what they factor in for these substantial changes to Watkins’ and Robinson’s numbers?

So my dream back end was sealed up by the Rams?

Sounds like a KC offseason...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Pittsburgh had just drafted Wheaton who they thought could replace Sanders, Seattle has NOTHING behind Baldwin.

I don't understand the logic of wanting to spend $7M per on a guy that isn't guaranteed to be any better option than what's on the roster currently. Spend on an elite player, or don't bother.

Exactly.

The playoff game should be proof enough of why another WR threat is needed. As exciting as Hill is as a playmaker, teams will begin to defend him better. He is no secret anymore and not a high volume player with regards to touches. When Kelce went down in the Wildcard, Hill was contained.

The Chiefs will sign a couple mediocre players and the usual gang will be in here to explain why they don't suck, Veach is actually a super genius and John Dorsey is a horse ****er.

That will be this week on CP.

I would say Smith was contained when Kelce went down. Videos show open players.

Agreed if all three (Hunt, Hill, Kelce) can stay healthy for 16+ games. You lose one of the three though, and the KC offense goes from fairly explosive to fairly ordinary. Hopefully Mahomes, in time (yes it is going to take time) can take the Reid offense to a new level.

I’ve said it before. Look what Pederson did for his young 2nd year stud QB. Did he stand pat with Agholor and Green-Beckham and hope that Wentz could take them to the next level??? **** no! He went out added Alshon and Torrey Smith. There is no reason why the #2 WR spot shouldn’t be an area of focus for KC and Mahomes this offseason.
