Chiefs agree to trade Alex Smith to Washington

Now you wait until March 14th for it to become official...

He had one good year of deep passes...and now he is gone....all I am saying is this year , like all of his others, his air yards versus YAC is quite low....he had a lot of yards this year ...but the % was still low

thanks alex smith , you had a great season...good enough to score us a great value trade...best of luck to you!!

its not a "wco" we use the WCO sometimes....but we do other things too like a spread and RPO

using your logic you could just say "we run a RPO" but that would be not accurate too

we dont just "run a wco" that isnt correct

Favre and the Packers used to run a WCO

NFL offenses have different flavors and styles. A WCO with Favre and one with Smith is gonna look different though

Again, I'm ecstatic about the trade. I will say, though, that Smith appeared to run the RPO to just about perfection. Unfortunately, that led to a lot of short throws. It'll be fun to see how Andy et al. implement these reads with Mahomes.

this season, its hard to argue with that,,at least in most of the regular season

but in the losing streak, and in the second half of the titans game something went wrong ......

Nah, I already proved my point that he lead the league in 20+ "air yard" throws. If you want to make a separate claim then the burden of proof is on you I don't really care either way about that one but I know for sure it's not over 50%.

More by the eye test then anything, Smith lacks the arm strength to throw deep. His good year throwing deep was attributable to Tyreke being a freak. Most of his deep balls seemed to balloon and be behind Tyreke who was able to adjust and out battle DB's. It looked like he was throwing a back shoulder to someone 10 yards behind the DB.

yeah, its under 50

im guessing 45 or maybe less but i dont have any really good links to the 2017 advanced stats

i do care about it though, because when i see those charts, its the guys who have more % air yards (brady, ben) who seem to win afc champ games

and I would sure like to see us win one of those b4 i die
