In a game the Chiefs lost by six points, Alex Smith missed three wide open TDs

And yes he had a clean pocket on the second one.

When has this happened before...against the Steelers...in a crucial game....

Spoiler!

Flame away.

Thanks for letting me know. What team do you scout for again? Oh that's right you are not a scout. Probably just some fan who thinks he knows better than Reid. LOL!

How much tape have you watched on Mahomes? Tell me what his weaknesses are and his strengths? Why did he fall to us in the draft? Tell me how many hours of college tape you've seen on him? How much of his preseason tape have you studied?

You are just a fan.. Stop acting like you know more than Reid when it comes to QBs. If Mahomes was better at this point in his career he would be starting. Period.
I think walrus made a mistake. He is not infallibke. He of the multiple sb rings. Oh wait...Andy is perfect in his in game decisions too, right? Coaches can be wrong.

If you were a Chiefs fan who actually followed the Chiefs and not just Alex, you'd know that Mahomes didn't fall to us...we traded up for him, Squirrel Tits.

On with your Alex-only self!!!

Well, yes and No because in all honesty I really can't believe the Jets passed on him after Trubisky went 2, and then the 49ers passed on him at 3. That honestly makes no sense, so while the Chiefs traded up it's still really hard to believe two teams that started Brian Hoyer and Josh McCown week 1 passes on a stud. But hey, SO GLAD THEY DID.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

I'm sure you are glad, yes.

If he would have fallen to us, he would have been there at 28 or 29 or whatever it was.

Who knows what the Jets or 49ers QB plans were at that particular time. I don't think the 49ers intended on Hoyer being so disastrous this season...and Beathard seems to look like a decent backup plan so far...and for only a 3rd round pick? May just be a Shanahan system preference.

And the Jets? Who knows what they were thinking. Their QB evaluation competency fits the profile of a team that burned a 2nd round pick on Christian Hackenberg the year before...which they did. So who knows?

There was a lot to like about the 49'er rookie last time out.

We'll see if he's any good or it's beginner's luck this week...

You don't get 8 seconds to throw in the NFL and when I see him giving up in clean pockets, it pisses me off. You will see the light one day. Maybe not.

P.S. There have been injuries on the line ALL YEAR!
Our D doesn't get pressure!
