In a game the Chiefs lost by six points, Alex Smith missed three wide open TDs

And yes he had a clean pocket on the second one.

When has this happened before...against the Steelers...in a crucial game....

Spoiler!

Flame away.

One year.

That is the standard.

This is not a Favre/Rodgers situation.

WHO GIVES A **** WE WON GAMES IN SEPTEMBER?

Come on man

No one will remember we started 5-0 if we dont get to the superbowl
If we can get to 8 games with only dropping 2 we won't lose 2 the rest of the way. Our schedule is VERY favorable...

Groomed?

Smith can comb Mahomes' hair by candlelight after each successive, touchdown-filled orgasm next season.

"you have a snag here, Mr. Mahomes"

"get that for me, Alex. you're so valuable around here these days"

"no problem sir...i want you to look nice for the cameras"

That sounds nice but once every (yeah, both of them) deep target is hurt and people aren't NCAA wide open is he smart enough to dump it off?

Will he throw it away?

Sitting allows you to become Rodgers instead of starting off like Favre...

They never once thought about drafting him and starting him.

I'd bet a $100 that Mahommes respects Smith and is prolly a fan.

Those throws to Robinson, Escobar, Kemp in the preseason were all I needed to see. Imagine with Kelce Hill and Hunt?

Possibly.

But I would like to think that Mahomes sits in the film room with Smith and Bray, watching the breakdown of Smith's "craft", and says to himself over and over, "**** this shit, **** this guy, **** this shit, **** this guy".

Yep, that's what I'm going with.

I'm going with sweet gig...

He's going to know so much more about an NFL game, and all the intricacies that it entails. The success so far this season will pay dividends.

If he were simply a replacement. he'd already be on the field.
