But a capable slot receiver for sure.

He's not fast or large; gotta be one or the other to be a true receiver that can be split out wide. He's quick and he's game so you can send him over the middle.

But because he doesn't have pullaway speed, DBs can sit on his hip if he's lined out wide. And because his body isn't big enough to give a good catch radius and shield DBs, he's not a guy you want on a lot of contested in-cuts.

But if you can put him in the slot where he can play off the LOS and guys can't slose on him before he uses that first step quickness to make space, he can be effective.

He's the Ying to Conley's Yang. They're good complementary players but not as rounded as you'd want to see from a true #2 wideout.

It seems like Conley's biggest issue is that he's not AS open as other guys most of the time. Smith is going to take the higher percentage throws almost every time. If Smith HAD to throw to him then I'm sure he'd get better numbers, we just have two or three guys who get more open or are better at picking up YAC on the LOS type passes. Conley isn't the guy you want getting the ball on those plays.

That's what happens when you have a coach that knows how to put guys in a position to succeed.

He has Wilson do things that Wilson can do well. He (mostly) asks Conley to do things Conley can do well.

Reid can make chicken salad out of the solid but unspectacular skill sets that Wilson and Conley bring to the table. Both of those guys are NFL players, if not exactly top of the heap guys.

That's all Reid really needs. Hell, Reid can make Sean McGrath productive. The guy's a wizard.

It's still early, plenty of time for Maclin to get back on track but so far he has sucked so has the whole Ravens offense basically.

I'd say at this point Wilson has pretty much given us all the value we had in Maclin. Maclin does have better hands but Wilson is less injury prone. This was the correct move.

The only thing I really think Maclin brought that we haven't fill in for is leadership in the WR room that you get from that veteran presence. At the same time, I think the void at WR has caused some of the other guys to step up to try and use the opportunity.

Absolutely. Reid took Duce Staley, James Thrash, Freddie Mitchell and Todd Pinkston to the brink of the Super Bowl.

Maclin's on pace for 464 yards, 28 more yards than he had in 2016.

Totally worth $12.5 million.

What a bunch of shiny, slippery, bloody vaginas.
