So, in this scenario, Dorsey, a year before his contract expires, says "I want X amount of money when my deal expires", then Clark Hunt says, a year in advance, "**** you, I'm not paying a GM X amount, so you're fired and I'll pay you to sit home". That doesn't fly. |

Agreed.
There's simply no valid reason. None. Even if you think he wasn't a cap pro, it doesn't matter. We were always under the cap and have a talented roster regardless. The objective is to stockpile talent then Dorsey did his damn job. If he was released because they couldn't come to terms on a contract that Clark is too cheap to win a championship. You want the best? You pay the best.

We know this. Reid and Dorsey have covered his ineptness. As least was calm enough to hire Dorsey and Reid. I think it comes down to that we were always over the cap. ChUNT didn't like the way his money was being spent. Or it was about raping secretaries.

Realistically, Hunt would have a better chance of hiring an excellent candidate in January 2018 as opposed to June 2017. |

Well if it wasnt about Dorseys money it was about the cap money. Money is money. Im sure Clark was not thrilled with all the dead money on the table. The Mahomes trade made him extremely nervous and then the Maclin cut brought it all to a head. Like someone else said Im sure he was just waiting to wrap up Andy before he canned Dorsey. It cant be just a coincidence that both things happened on the same exact day.
If it wasn't about the money, or the Fox News theory, then what was it? |

Guys, the "Hunt is cheap" narrative is false.
He just extended Reid for four years (or five, as some have stated) for a huge amount of dough. He paid Pioli $20 million to "Go away". I'm not buying it. |

I know you guys are all upset and have your panties in a wad but Clark made the right call originally and you were all washing his balls over it so who exactly are you to say he is making the wrong decision here just because you don't like it? |

When the team sucks, the national spotlight isn't on you, you don't get the credit, you don't get the glory and you simply don't have the market (or the ego) that will compel you to chase every dime. It's basic human nature. But when teams are winning, everybody on that squad is positive they're a big part of it and when the time comes to cash in, those demands are always higher. Every single good team ever has had to deal with it. The cost of their players increases disproportionately with their actual success. And if you don't have someone like Brady just donating money to Bob Kraft so that he can paid after he retires, it's just the nature of the beast in a hard cap league. Scott Pioli was a brilliant cap manager because his teams...sucked. And if Hunt prefers his 'stars and scrubs' model over paying the depth players like Dorsey prefers, then Clark is still a ****ing reerun because it is demonstrably true that Dorsey's method is more successful with the exception of the 'get a HoF quarterback at all costs' rule. And Dorsey just MADE that gambit in a baller ass move to get Mahomes. And he got ****ing fired. Jesus **** this is stupid. Just catastrophically reeruned.
