Now, whether you can blame those issues on the departed Trip McCracken or the fired head of Pro Personnel, Will Lewis, can be debated ad nauseam without a resolution because no one will ever know the truth.

But Dorsey's track record with high priced free agents hasn't been good. Let's hope that Benny Logan breaks that streak.

I don't. DAT is the only guy on the roster that can replace Hill in the Jet Sweeps and gadget plays. Plus, he's a very solid returner.

I can't see a 6'3 Chesson as a punt or kick returner and Robinson doesn't have the speed or elusiveness to excel at either position.

At least Logan is only signed to a 1 year deal. Hopefully he doesn't have a great season and we break the bank on him only to watch him play mediocre for the next couple of seasons.

In 2015 we got a very good Maclin at a low price. Last year we got a below average Maclin overpaying him.
We got a lot of $$ back from cutting him.

Hopefully we see a lot of slants and crossing patterns for Hill this season.

If you want to refuse to ignore hard, incontrovertible facts, that's on you.

Seven catches all year is just awful.

The fact is Alex Smith has always been this way, and it's unlikely he's going to get any better at getting primo talent the ball at age 33.

You'd do best to cut bait with your irrational defenses of Alex Smith. Most others have, and he's clearly not going to be here in 2018.

I do appreciate the personal insults, though. Dane being Dane.

Why o why are we stuck with Smith this year. Hill can straight up just get passed any DB and we have a starting QB that will kill his stats and cost us tds again this season.

Because we'd like to win some games while we wait for Mahomes to resemble anything close to being able to be a starting NFL QB?

Why o why do we have to keep answering the same questions though.

You are ignoring facts clay. Hill had 6 TD's through the air and just under 600 yards on only 83 targets.

You cherry pick deep throws without counting screens/intermediate passes that Andy will still run this year.
