kc fans love to look at stats to tell the whole story and end up missing the big picture. Maclin was playing with nagging injuries last year but there was no indication that he hasn't rehabbed and would be 100% for this coming year. He could have returned to or near his old form if healthy. You won't know now. The fact that no one wanted to trade for him speaks more to his contract than his performance. Dumping your #1 WR in June, after the Draft and FA period is a big sign that the goal is not Win Now at all costs. Couple that with moving up to draft a replacement QB in the draft and NO FA Vet signings indicate that they are looking to the future, not the present. As someone else said they could have been forced into this if they think Mahommes isn't going to be ready to start for 2-3 years and they may need to keep alex around longer than when they moved up all that way to grab his replacement. That or they are in cap hell and with only a WC win in the Andy Reid years they now know it isn't just a matter of waiting out Manning to retire but that Reid's basketball LOS O is not going to win playoff games with the talent on the roster. It cracks me up how this place thinks that they can replace a Vet 1st string WR with a warm body. Sure maybe an average WR could replace those 500 yards but an average WR is not going to take over games or be a big factor in the playoffs, a place where against Divisional level talent your team has struggled for over 20 years. I am with you guys though, I am glad Maclin is gone, means less talent for the No Fly Zone to cover. I know most of this place doesn't understand the importance of Quality Depth either. |

The Chiefs just went 12-4 with Albert Wilson starting a lot of games for Maclin. They also won 11 games the year before with him starting alongside Maclin.

Fall? I am still celebrating SB50! Got a new shipment of gear a week or 2 ago. It is not like the Broncos have only won a WC game over the last 20+ years. Is it over 25 years now? I lost count.
The Broncos ended up struggling last year more due to injuries and a terrible OL than the loss of Manning. John has managed the cap well and his drafts are better than most think. Love having McCoy back, he won't call 7 step drops over and over while the tackles continue to struggle, the ball will be coming out quicker and they will be attacking weaknesses instead of running into strengths. |

The only games Wilson started that Maclin missed were the Panthers, Bucs and Falcons games. Wilson's numbers and the Chiefs average offensive points in those games: 12 catches, 92 yards 14.3 PPG Great ****ing aspirations there! START ALBERT WILSON YESTERDAY! |

The offense is garbage with or without him, yes.
The point is a garbage offense with now even less depth is most likely not going to be good for our team. Get ready for a shit year because turnovers and kick returns aren't going to save us five times again. |

Isn't that the year we faced like 10 backup QBs due to injuries to their starters?
