Ware only had 8 carries in the playoff game and turned that into a TD and 4.4 YPC. It was absolutely Andy's fault to put the game in Alex's hands and ignore the run.

And why? Because Murray was the most "Smith-like" of the backups. You know, safe, cautious, dull as a butter knife, and very unlikely to color outside the lines that Reid establishes. If you think I ever had a hard-on for Murray, you clearly have not been reading my posts, and are just skimming to cherry pick a comment that you can twist in to absolute bullshit. You are dishonest, which is exactly what I expect from an Alex Smith jizz-gurgler with a low football IQ. The Cleveland fans may find you entertaining though, so you have that to look forward to. The Chiefs have selected their future, and Smith has no part in it.

I know Alex has given me enough data to show the Chiefs it's his last year. You don't trade up to sit a guy 2 years. Even Alex knows this.

It was a weak draft for QBs, there was no other choice. Plus we had extra picks stockpiled.

Whatever. If you can't put a game into your QBs hands then you need a new QB. Luckily they felt the same about Smiths shitty passing skills.

![]() Know how I know that you are a homer troll propagandist, talking out of your ass? "No other choice"? There's always a choice. If the Chiefs felt this class was a bad as you say it is, they could have blown off drafting a QB like they did 4 times before. But they didn't. They identified premium talent, and struck a great deal to get him. But more to the point, they had come to understand the undeniable truth about Alex Smith; a team, any team, will NEVER win a championship with Alex Smith. Ever. So the long-needed change was finally made. The Chiefs have selected their future, and Smith has no part in it.

the chiefs drafted mahomes as a position of need, if anything for salary cap reasons. the front office realized they wouldn't get the production required at that salary level. may as well consider this the equivalent of turning down the fifth year option on a player. it was a shot across the bow for an increase in production before going forward.
