News that won't shock you: Nick Foles Hitting the Street
Per ESPN:

The Kansas City Chiefs plan to decline Nick Foles option for the 2017 season, which will make the quarterback an unrestricted free agent, a source confirmed to ESPN.

NFL Network first reported the news of the Chiefs' plan.

The Chiefs will free up $6.75 million in salary-cap space by parting with Foles.

Foles, 28, joined the Chiefs last year as a free agent after being released by the Los Angeles Rams. He played in three games for Kansas City, starting one. He threw for 410 yards and three touchdowns.

He played three seasons for the Philadelphia Eagles and one for the Rams before joining the Chiefs.

The Eagles' third-round pick in 2012, Foles started five games that season and in 2013 had one of the more remarkable quarterback seasons in NFL history. Foles threw 27 touchdown passes with just two interceptions in leading the Eagles to the playoffs.

The quality of Foles' play declined drastically in 2014 and after that season Foles was traded to the Rams as part of the deal that also involved quarterback Sam Bradford. Foles played poorly for the Rams before being benched late in the season.

Oh no, I've seen it... have seen it with my own eyes and it comes off as so blatant to me that I assume you are trolling. I've watched Nick Foles since he was with the Eagles...watched him in his very first game, in fact...watched him a lot the next two seasons because he was my (gasp!) fantasy QB.

Smith should have never been anything, but a backup to begin with. In a league where Matt Cassel and Osweiler have been franchise guys...who knows why he's been so fortunate.

Does CP know something about Foles that the rest of the league doesn't? Cause apparently he was the guy that was supposed to get us over the hump that Smith couldn't get us over. Thanks in advance

Never claimed he was the guy to get us over the hump. I just said he has a stronger arm/better long ball than Smith.

I mean what are the odds, the most dominant, skilled, and mistake and injury free pending dynasty of a team had the exact two worst QBs in the history of organized sport holding them back.

Amazing that this one miscalculation stood between a dumpster-fire franchise and the undefeated decade of unrelenting dominance.
