How Excited or Not ..Are You??

The guys at work are kind of meh about the upcoming playoff game. They say if we play Pitt we will lose. Out of 3 people I talk to about our chances 2 out of 3 say we won't win at home!
I think more excitement will build when we know who we play. Personally I'm very excited and don't care who we play.. more worried about stopping the run and if Houstons knee is healthy enough for him to be a factor.

I'll start getting a little more excited once i know who we'll play. Until then i'll be a Dolphins fan. I won't truly get excited until kick off.

Did the Steelers beat both of last years Superbowl winners on the road this year- including beating the Donks twice? No that was the Chiefs. You can't Be the Champ until you Beat the Champ-and we did that twice this year and ended their season with an ! point!!!

I am not sure how a true Chiefs fan can't be excited about this year-it was amazing and this is a solid team in every phase of the game.

Chiefs will win this one-they will go up to shitboro and beat the cheating, ball deflating, over confident Pats and will mop up whatever team the NFC throws at us.

This is our year-we will shock the world.
We also demoralized the Broncos in their house before they became champs last year giving Peyton Manning a 0.0 quarterback rating and had to be replaced. So we were better than the new crowned champs last year.

Meh, the 1st two rounds for top seeds are mainly warmups in the NCAAs. That means you only have 4 to win, no different than the NFL (or 3 in our case or NE case with the bye). The diff in the sports is there's more variability in hoops, and they play all games on neutral fields which adds to the uncertainty.

Probably won't start getting excited until we know who we are playing, and then really start getting amped up next Friday or so.

Just hope there's a full house/home field advantage - there are a lot of seats still available in the club/uppers, and they are expensive - $130 for an upper level EZ seat. Steelers fans will gobble up those seats the second they beat Miami.

Great point.

I think everyone, including the fans underrate the Chiefs, because we don't have a Tom Brady or the Star Power that the Steelers have on offense. This is a roll up your sleeves, blue collar, grind it out team. Team being the main point. It is solid with no major flaws. Just look at their record over the past few years-one of the best in football.

Andy is a great coach-it is hard to imagine him going his whole career and Never winning a championship. I think this is the year.

The NFC will be a dogfight. I'd say there's about a 99% chance the AFC will be represented by either NE, KC or PIT.

I think anyone in the NFC could go all the way.

You know what I am kind of excited about?
It's still a long shot at this point with so many games to play, but it would be cool to face off against the Giants in the SB. With their defense peaking, they are a tough out in the NFC playoffs and are the prime candidates to pick off Dak and Rodgers. But they are what the Chiefs are built for. As much as the offense can bog against 'lesser' opponents, they rarely shrink [relatively] against powerhouse Ds. Just a more desperate and harried version of their plodding, but not the back-breaking mistakes and failed gambles that other teams endure.

I'll get excited if we make it to the SB.

I've been burned too many times by this team to invest any sort of emotion in big games any more. I"ll enjoy watching it, but I'm not going to let it effect me like I used to.

Detoxtrodamus predicted a 12-4 record and division title. He also predicts a a home playoff win. However, the trip to foxboro causes the crystal ball to get a little murky.

How can you not be excited about a home Playoff game?

We will have our challenges with the PITT O, but **** it, they have to come to our house and take it. Tough task to win on the road in the Playoffs.

I like our odds.

I'm not excited, yet, because the game is so far away.

But I'll be excited by game time and yes, I expect the Chiefs to win, regardless of the opponent.

This team is going to the Super Bowl.
