"Colin Cowherd compares Chiefs to waste management and he’s kinda right"

Colin Cowherd compares Chiefs to waste management and he’s kinda right

http://www.arrowheadpride.com/2016/1...-s-kinda-right

Colin Cowherd has a comparison for the Kansas City Chiefs that is actually a good one. The Chiefs are the waste management company of the NFL.

“If you met a guy at the waste management party, he could be the most successful guy but it’s not something you’er really interested in or would ever want to talk about. Why I bring this up is the Kansas City Chiefs are the waste management business in the NFL. It dominates its industry.

“Nobody wants to talk about it. You’d never talk about it at a cocktail party. Outside of Kansas City, you’d never go up to anybody and say, “Hey ,what about the Chiefs?” You’d go what about the Patriots, man I hate Aaron Rodgers, man I love Cam, Andrew Luck’s overrated, how ‘bout them raiders. Nobody goes, ‘What about the Chiefs?’

“The Kansas CityChiefs are boring and unbelievably effective. They’re not interesting and nobody talks about them. They are now the best team in a very sexy AFC West. John Elway, Von Miller, Broncos! Nope. Derek Carr, resurgent Raiders! Nope.

“Kansas City is a Super Bowl level team. I know you’re going to say, what about Alex Smith? He has won 60 of his last 84 starts, that’s 71 percent. That’s a higher winning percentage than Bill Parcells had as a head coach. Andy Reid’s last 10 years. Nine winning seasons. You don’t want to talk about that either.

“When you add Tyreek Hill, when you add Travis Kelce, when you add Andy Reid and when you add this defense, most of which you don’t know these guys, that’s a Super Bowl level team. That doesn’t mean they’re going to get there, doesn’t mean they’re going to win it. This is the business nobody wants to talk about.”

Bonus quote: “Outside of Bill Belichick, Andy Reid is the best coach in the AFC.”

Cowherd is, and always will be an idiot. Even when praising the Chiefs.

Chiefs are also too careful. And that bothers me a lot more. Like when Andy pumped the brakes against Indy in the second half of the playoffs, Alex ran his infamous 8 minutes drill against New England, etc....

When Alex and Andy get out of their own way, this team is outstanding.

Alex Smith was a demonstrably better quarterback than Derek Carr across the board last year. The ONLY thing Carr did better was throw more often. His QBR was lower, his AV was lower, his AYA was lower. His ****ing yards per COMPLETION was even lower. He threw the ball 100 more times than Smith and with that managed 500 more passing yards....whoopity doo!

This year Carr appears to have taken a step forward....and been outplayed in head to head matchups by Alex Smith both times they've met. And frankly, it's been a walk both times. Smith played much MUCH better football than Carr in those two games.

**** that - Carr's done nothing to earn any mantle yet. Oh sure, he might. And he's probably more likely to do so than Smith. But this ****ing season-long coronation of Carr is garbage.
I attribute it to his eyeliner. That's how Rudolph Valentino became a legend.

Bullshit. The Browns haven't won a playoff game since 1994. They are talked about everyday.

That's just being super conserv.

If you **** up, you can be certain that Belichick is in your ear and working to correct it and will look at every single major and minor detail over everything.

Andy is a good teacher and Offensive Mind, but he's not a perfectionist.

Chiefs are kinda like the Royals in that they have to prove it on the field first.

First off, waste management is a fascinating field. You have collection logistics, storage, and recycling. That's not even thinking about biofuels. I have an acquaintance who has a consulting firm that specializes in waste management, and she's made a career of it.

Second, why would anyone think the Chiefs are boring? They've won several of the most exciting games in the NFL this year. They generate turnovers, make amazing runs, and have the fastest man in the NFL. Even the Chiefs' punts are exciting when Colquitt does his perfect placement.

The Raiders play in the 6th largest media market in the country so it makes sense, from a dollars and sense perspective, that the NFL and its partners create this narrative, whether it's true or false.

The Chiefs are boring because of the play calling and Alex Smith.

If the Chiefs get Hill and Kelce the ball. They move the ball and score.

If they don't....Smith goes 3 n out.

Smith needs to run the ball more too. This running game isn't doing shit. Ware is avg about 2-3ypc right now and the Chiefs are getting shit on 1st down. That's not going to cut it.
