Denver missing the playoffs?

at 10-6.

I was playing with the ESPN playoff machine and found an interesting anomaly - If we win out and finish 13-3 AND

Denver -
W @ Tenn
L vs NE
L @ KC
W vs Oak

to finish 10-6

AND Buffalo -
W vs Pittsburgh
W vs Cleveland
W vs Miami
W@ NYJ

to finish 10-6 which is entirely possible for Buffalo ....

Denver is out - not exactly sure why yet - Denver and Buffalo didn't play head to head - possibly common opponents?

So you're predicting a loss to the titans?

Predicting? No. Gut feeling that this is the kind of game the Chiefs lose? Yes.

I am a pessimistic when it comes to the Chiefs, and for good reason.

I don't know that I'd say the Bills are a team that "should win all the games they're supposed to win"... anything can happen, sure. I just wouldn't bet on it.

I think I set my expectations correctly at the start of the season. I believed that KC and OAK would do well. I also believed Denver would win about 9, maybe 10 games. However, winning the division with a new starting QB and the change... I chose to temper my enthusiasm a bit.

As long as they win 9-10 games, which they should - I'm good. It's a tweener year, bridge to the next chapter and let's see how things go.

Stop with the ridiculous 13-3 curse nonsense. Its about who is on the field playing the game. That's it.

Season is far from over and nothing is locked up. We need to keep winning to be safe otherwise we will need help to get a bye week. Denver can't win the division unless the Chiefs and Raider lose out but they control their fate as well and really need to win out.

Exactly. Focus on what's ahead. Dont be concerned with what's in the rear view.

The Buffalo/Pitts one will be tough for Buffalo but the rest are definitely doable. It's possible but I'd rather Den make it and NE take a loss so we can be the 1 seed.

Control what you can control... I figure Denver needs to win 2 more to secure a WC spot. Should be a good race for the division and the #1 seed. There will be a lot of you tuned into Patriots @ Denver.

Yea. I still see 3 from the West getting in, but KC is in the most favorable position. Now the focus shifts from getting in to securing the most favorable seed. Securing at least a 1st round bye should be the goal... The BOYZ from Da HOOD better watch out because trips to SD and Denver could wreck havoc on thie chances...And the DOINKS better Remember the Titans, or else...

Good news is, I'll be at that game, and the Chiefs are something like 9-1 when I'm in the stands.

(Maybe it's 8-1, i can't remember)

Anything can happen, Denver has 4 very tough games coming up. I still think 3 from the AFCW advance, but we'll see. Depends on whether or not Denver has to rely on Lynch down the stretch... he appears to be a bit of a slow learner.
