Is it time to start Foles over Smith?

Pathetic.

He's played poorly today

Thoughts?

I really would sit Alex this week. He didn't look well after those hits. Take care of your players. You did it with DAT, Abdullah and Maclin.

It's nice to have a solid b/u.

And it's never bad to have two different styles of play either...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

Keep living in the past, little slugger.

How about you use some common sense and compare KC and SF since Smith left SF? You know, since that was the point of this moronic conversation.

san fran giving up on smith for CK was the first domino to fall. every other player has since given up on management there. were alex still in san fran they may have won two super bowls.

it would be like NO giving up on brees now 'without a concussion' for whothe****ever with no evidence the team will continue to succeed.

but then there is dallas

I'll forever disagree with Andy's view on the O line.

You give me the big fatty every day, with lead in his ass and a wide frame, over these slender athletic types.

I'll take a guy with the build of an Albert over a guy with the build of a Fisher 7 days a week and twice on Sunday...

I wasn't even talking about the preference for big or athletic o-linemen.

I was talking about 'our' boredom with bringing in linemen when there are cool QBs and WRs to throw money at.

It was an opening - I exploited it.

I've wanted to vent on this for a while now...

Im a 49er fan and it was the right move because 49ers weren't winning a SB with Alex. 2011 was his best chance, 2012 and 2013 playoffs weren't ideal situations for him.

In 2012 the offense was putting up more ppg and yards with CK, but the defense was non existent after Justin and Aldon Smith injuries. No defense = no SB for Alex.

2013 playoffs the RBs struggled. Gore only had like 10 yds aagainst the Seahawks. Alex's usual 100 yd performance against them wasn't going to get the job done that time. No run game = no SB for Alex.

Since we never would of won with Alex, it absolutely was the right move. Yea CK sucks now, but it doesn't even matter anymore, we need to start allover, it's as close to a talentless team as it gets. There's just no reason to want or have Alex. His style would result in 5 wins max without talent to carry him.
