Is it time to start Foles over Smith?

Pathetic.

He's played poorly today

Thoughts?

And I would be completely fine with Foles over Smith. I love Alex, but I very much liked Foles at Arizona. Big qb, huge arm. Clearly whatever Andy Reid whispers to him he takes. That throw to Hill with a qb with a lesser arm probably gets knocked down. I thought the Chiefs would of traded for Foles immediately when Andy went to KC.

You got a long way to go in proving how a guy who has been handed off by 4 teams somehow earns a start over him because of one partial game against a bad defense.
49ers have been to 2 NFCCG and a SB since Smith was benched. That's more than Alex ever did. He wouldn't win games on that team either anymore.

I think his best throw of the day was on first down to Kelce on the drive that resulted in a missed fg.
They barely showed it on replay but Foles put it where only Kelce could catch it and he didn't. It could and should have been a TD

Come on give the guy some credit. He's been to 5 NFC Championship games, a SB appearance and got us our first playoff win in 40-years despite only being here for 3-years.

What have you done in your football coaching career?

Correct, they're done in the WC or 1st round with Smith. Once Justin and Aldon Smith went down, that defense wasn't good enough to carry Alex anymore.

I'm curious as to whether Alex would want to start again. Smart dude, family man, already set for life. He should seriously think about retiring today. Would be a shame to have all of those gigabytes go to shit when he's not even in his mid-30's.

Some might consider it being a quitter, but I don't feel we have the right to judge the decision. It's a violent sport, and each person has the right to say enough's enough.

At any rate, Mrs Smith is happy... Mr Smith will quickly learn to be happy. All the haters happy. No more need for the Smith Wars. I can chuckle at the incoming excuses for the next QB(s). Win-win.

See what happens with Foles. He may turn out great.. or there could be a twisted and tragic irony around the corner.

Be smart, Alex. Find better things to do.
