With Alex we need home filed but we may never get it as long as Brady is still playing. They have a by like every damn year.

![]() I thought I would do a little different take as more of a summary as the season has ended and the sentences of yours that I extracted above sum it all up very quickly but very succinct. Today I had the opportunity to think about the season as I drove this morning from northern VA to Philly, did some work, ate the famous roasted pork sandwich with broccoli rabe and provolone at Dinic's in the Reading Terminal Market and then drove back home. While I was on the way up I listened to 97.5 The Fanatic Philly sports radio and it was incredible how they spent two hours talking about Andy Reid and Doug Pederson failures with clock management over the years and the media and fans fear that Pederson is NOT the right coach. On the way home, the last two hours there was not a single fan or media who liked the Pederson signing, quite shocking. To turn this season around from 1-5 to 11-5 with ten straight wins was an incredible ride and wonderful feeling. The sad fact is that after many of us have waited 22 years for a single playoff win and 46 years to return to the Super Bowl, our expectations and the bar is set so low, that one lousy playoff win against the crappy QB-less Texans got us all excited and satisfied our thirst for the moment. Yesterday's game was so anticlimactic for me after we got the monkey off our back the prior week. While I was excited to watch, all the injuries and the quick touchdown New England scored on their first drive with us having NO ability to pressure Brady, gave me the same feeling of prior years when we are just a notch below all the true talented other teams. Each time we had a chance to make a game of it, we either shit the bed or Brady crushed our hopes-"Because We Are the Chiefs"! There were many things to be excited about this year: -Peters is the real deal and should be DROTY -Derrick Johnson can still play -Poe, Bailey and Howard may be the least respected front three and underrated. -Spencer Ware and Charcandrick West are ballers and shocked us that we barely missed Jamaal -Fisher is finally playing up to his potential -Maclin was worth the money and was a 10x upgrade over Slow poke Bowe -Our secondary and defense had a pretty damn good year for the most part -Alex Smith is more than just a game manager and his legs won us many games -Dorsey and Reid did a great job with all the role players and filling gaps in the lineup due to injuries There were many things to be disappointed about this year: -Too many stupid penalties, especially all the blocks in the backs on run backs -Still the inability to beat good teams -Losing games because we can not step on teams throats and put them away -Slow starts in too many games -CLOCK MANAGEMENT AND THE INABILITY TO HURRY! -Special teams got sloppy this year and return game, coverage, and even Colquitt got crappy late in the year. He is the longest tenured Chief along with DJ and not sure how many years he has left. Santos actually had a very good year -OLine play got much better as the year went on but there is much room for improvement and we need stability here. -Lacking a true #2 receiver. Do we already have a guy that can become the #2 or do we need to trade or draft him? I hope we get this right. -Fumbles at key moments. Every fumble seems like it's at a bad time but we really had some really ill timed fumbles this year. -LASTLY, ONCE AGAIN WE WILL NOT BE PLAYING IN THE SUPER BOWL AFTER ALL THE PRESEASON HYPE! Overall I'm more satisfied than disappointed and hope Dorsey and Reid can build on what they have begun. They have three straight winning seasons under their belt and look forward to another next season. Looking for a great draft, guys like Jamaal coming back healthy, and hope we can keep our best free agents. Thanks so much George for all the writeups this year as it takes a lot of focus each week to watch the game and all it's nuances to provide a detailed and accurate summary of Ten Things. ![]() ![]() Hopefully will get them next year!

So we were never actually talking about targeting QBs early in the draft?

And of that list the only one that compares to Smith being Steve Young? I like our chances!

I look for Dorsey to bring in an Arena League QB and all the Alex haters to finally exclaim 'that's what I'm talking about!!!'

You pay MSRP for refurbished appliances that were only in initial service for 'a little while?'
