Talking Kansas Basketball is talking about the elite in sports with other like-minded fans.

True we don't have this with KU Football, Chiefs Football, Royals or obviously any other local college teams. I'm definitely used to it and try hard not to rub it in when it comes to accomplishment both in the collegiate ranks and in the pros.

I mean KU Football is a laughingstock right? Then why is it all I see are KU players in the NFL playoffs and nothing from mizzou and Iowa State?

And we're not even talking about the sport KU is good in.

Lol. Self has a "Get Out of Jail Free" card in Lawrence. He doesn't pay for food, get tickets, and could possibly be elected mayor tomorrow if he so chose, and that's not mentioning how his salary stretches out even further because he is in Lawrence Kansas.

Self is on easy street, why would he want to leave? Of course, if he makes last year a habit and can't get into the sweet sixteen a few years in a row....

It's already been established that KU players and MU players are fairly equally represented in the nfl with KU players landing much bigger contracts lately... I find this surprising with mizzou being the football factory that it is.

Rather than ignoring this, why don't you give your opinion and let us know why these HARD STATISTICS, using PB's own source and chosen method of player evaluation, are wrong?

And before you start down the "more $$ and contracts" route, lets establish that you had 3 players playing for a contract this past year. Stuckey got 4 years for 7M, Collins 5 years for 30M and Talib got 6 for 58M (only 3 years and 27 of which is guaranteed).

Nowhere has any Mizzou fan said these players suck. Talib is above average, Harris looks promising and is pretty solid and Colins is the definition of average. You have nothing else of note in the NFL.
