It doesn't help that he was replaced by another guy who shouldn't be an announcer, but White was pretty bad.

I actually enjoyed White some... he was dry and not very entertaining... but he would be critical of players and coaching decisions, not sugar-coating stuff. He actually talked Baseball... not why he thinks Hosmer's so freaking awesome. And why Billy Butler is so freaking awesome. And why Salvador Perez is so freaking awesome. And why Mike Moustakas is so freaking awesome. And why Dayton Moore is so freaking awesome. And why Ned Yost is so freaking awesome. etc... etc... etc...

Hud is un-****ing-Bearable to listen to.

The only enjoyment i get from Hud doesn't come from Hud. It comes from Ryan Lefebvre as he openly mocks the dumbass on air.

White gave insight to the game and the individual positions that I just loved listening to. I think he was excellent for those who have some knowledge of the game, but I could see how he wouldn't be entertaining for the passing fan. And he did the Royals a FAVOR by taking over for Splitt while he was dying. Unappreciative bastards

So let's keep flailing at guys, keep blaming others, and do everything except look in the mirror and see a systemic failure of scouting, drafting, development, management, and execution.

At this point, we should leverage the entire farm system for established talent because we already know they'll end up as shitty as Hosmer, Moose, and the rest.

What a joke.
... and BINGO was his name-o!

If I absolutely had to take one or the other, I'd take White, but I'd still want to upgrade the booth.

But let's not act like Frank White was some awesome coach (or announcer). If he was a good coach, he would have caught on during his stint in Boston, or landed with another team afterwards.

If he was a good announcer, he'd have work. He was not a good announcer.

And he couldn't handle Brett getting more attention and love than him.

Loved him as a player. He's a giant pain in the ass off the field, though.
I miss having Frank parole the 2B area at the K. Beyond that, he was NOT a great commentator.

The problem with Frank White is he was coming in after Paul Spittorff who was always prepared and had honed his craft to mastery. After Splitt everything just seems like shit.

The only second baseman for the Royals who was paroled was Chico Lind.

I don't mind Hud anymore actually. There are times where here is a huge homer but also times where he will call a guy out. He's been doing it to Hosmer for the past few weeks and rightly so. More than I can say for the other two bums he works with.

Yeah, Frank wasn't all that great, but he didn't just talk to be talking. My biggest problem with Hud is the sheer number of words he speaks per inning, it's a baseball game, he's acting like he's calling a hockey game.
