By itself, the 1st movie is more about space politics and ship battles than anything else, but those aren't what make Star Wars completely original and unique.

People got excited about Star Wars in A New Hope for its special effects at the time and also because it's a scintillating adventure film. If the series had stopped there, we'd still probably view Star Wars to this day as a classic film.

The Empire Strikes Back is the reason why Star Wars is one of those most universally understood cultural phenomenons across the landscape of the world.
Don't care.

It's all cornball.

So true, dude. Big Lebowski and Apocalypse Now are my favorite movies of all time... I'm definitely the same way with TBL.

Lol, after he had seen Bush Sr. making the same comment on TV. I loved how the dude would repeat comments that he heard from other people or on TV later on in the movie... like, "her life was in our hands!"

She's Hollywood royalty and loved to party back in the day. If you watch her in Empire then turn right around and watch her in Jedi, she looks absolutely high/stoned/****ed up to all hell compared to Empire.

That said, she very well may be bi-polar. Doesn't matter, she was hot as balls back in the late 70's/early 80's.

Sometimes, all the time bitches just be crazy... add some fuzz to the crazy and yeah, it gets pretty messy.

With that said, I bet whoever rode that crazy train back in the late 70's/early 80's had a ****ing awesome time.

This video is more about why Clones sucked, but Red Letter Media are geniuses for showing just how horrible it is by doing a side-by-side contrast of the two trilogies. There's nothing new explained that people haven't said before about Episodes I-III, but by doing the comparison, it absolutely showcases the incredible difference in film design philosophy between the two. And even if you've seen the Harry Plinkett Star Wars reviews, this clip is a pretty succinct abstract for all three movie reviews if you've never viewed them that way.

If anything, I'm posting it here because it's just as much about why Empire is awesome as it is about why Clones sucks.

To quote Harry Plinkett: "I love Empire so much I'd **** it"
