Conference record of SEC teams Mizzou beat this season...21-35 (.375). Subtracting the Mizzou games from their records, it's 21-28 (.429).

Conference record of Big 12 teams Oklahoma beat this season...23-40 (.365). Subtracting the Sooners games from their records, you get 23-33 (.411).

Of course, the biggest conference win for the Sooners was against Oklahoma State...a team that Mizzou beat by a larger margin than did the Sooners. Throw that one out, and they beat teams that went 16-38 (.296).


And, in keeping with the curve that other conferences are graded on, we're comparing the third highest ranked SEC team to the highest ranked Big 12 team.

So Auburn losing in the final 20 seconds to FSU, and losing only by 3 when FSU was favored by more than 10 points is getting their shit pushed in?

OU did push Alabama's shit in...but that was the only bad bowl loss by an SEC team. The SEC went 7-3 in bowl games, and two of those losses were close losses in the 4th qtr.

Would have been nice to win those two games and finish 9-1 in the bowl season. Instead of merely setting the record for bowl wins in a season by going 7-3, we would have shattered it.

The FSU defensive coordinator. That's right, the team that tied for 6th in the league and is historically the 5th or 6th best program in the league just hired the star coordinator away from the national champ.

The 7,000,000 viewers of the Cotton Bowl probably think so. These numbers seem to suggest that people mostly care about the SEC.

Two of the three highest rated BCS games were SEC games, and three of the four highest rated remaining bowls featured SEC teams.

The two lowest rated BCS games...by far...didn't involve SEC teams. Nobody cares about Baylor or UCF, and Ohio State vs Clemson went up against the Cotton Bowl (SEC vs Big 12's annual sacrificial lamb).
